I'm a big fan of this place. Very small and quaint but I appreciate the friendly atmosphere. The food is very good. My favorite is the K-town Burger; who knew kimchi would taste so good in a burger? Okay, maybe I should have, but either way, great stuff. They have a lunch buffet on weekends (not sure about weekdays since I've never been due to work), which has a small but decent selection. The wait staff is very friendly, and since it's such a small restaurant I've never had to wait long for anyone to come to my table. Would come here again.
Really loved this place, especially their lunch buffet. They have got all the essential items that I was craving after the lengthy biking exercise. Teriyaki salmon was cooked tender and sauce perfectly mixed with the fish meat, unlike many other places, where the fish was extremely salty and hard to swallow. Definitely get their kimchi fried rice, and pair that up with the fried egg, thank me later on this! At 15 bucks pp, I could not find a better deal than this place.
Hot tea was refillable, iced ones were not. But I do recommend their mango iced tea! Loved it!
The location was also convenient, so make sure to stop by on your way!
I had been meaning to come here to try their K-town fries after hearing about them from a friend. The name of the place implies cafe that specializes in tea, but it's actually a full service restaurant. Their staff is quick and attentive, with all of them wearing headsets.
I went ahead and ordered the K-town fries along with a Firehouse burger (which also came with fries). Pretty good portions for the price, I really should have only gotten one of those items. The Firehouse burger was very juicy, and the jalapenos and cheese sauce were great. It came with seasoned fries, so it was a hefty meal on its own. The K-town fries were an even bigger pile of the same seasoned fries, but this time they were topped with kimchi, onions, marinated beef, and cheese sauce. Definitely not good for you, but ultimately delicious.
Though they call themselves the tea bar, this place has been my favorite refuel station after cycling. On a cool summer day, the outdoor patio, which seats 4, is perfect for enjoying lunch and not having to worried about leaving your bikes out of sight ( not saying the area is unsafe but still want to be assured in public spaces). What really blew me away is their brunch buffet deal. For only $17, you get a buffet menu that features eggs, sausage, teriyaki salmon, Kimchi fried rice and many more. Plus, you also have a choice of coffee and tea. And yes, this includes their full lineup of tea selections. For me, there cannot be a better deal for carbing up after a ride and the seaweed soup replenishes plenty of those iodine and salt back into the body. Tip: make sure you monitor those sunny-side up eggs, they tend to run out fast.
I was here on once at night just hanging out with friends. The vibe was really chill and it was a great atmosphere for chatting over a hot pot of tea. Prices were really reasonable too. Lastly, their staff has always been extremely courteous and accommodated all our needs, including letting us out our bikes inside the front patio fence.
BYOB. i haven't really had their food here but came for dessert many times. Like I mentioned it's BYOB but there is a cork charge of $5 per bottle I believe. Staff is super friendly!
This place is great. Certainly not what I think of when I think "Tea Bar." I envisioned more of a traditional, western tea room experience. This is more like a legitimate Korean restaurant with a particular penchant for good tea. Cute place located in a shopping center with its own parking lot. I was pleasantly surprised by the level of polite service – opening the doors for us when we left and bowing – not something I expect at a café-like atmosphere (much less at most eateries in America).
I tried their bulgogi bibimbop which was made well with fresh vegetables and ingredients. My hubby loved the seafood rice cake which was spicy with a slow burn that slowly spreads throughout seconds after eating – he said the seafood was really good too.
We tried a hot tea and a bubble tea, which ended up being more slushy in nature than a true tea. Either way, both were good. You get one free hot water refill for the hot tea. Being a hater of chai, I enjoyed the apricot tea which had just enough fragrance but still had a traditional tea taste that prevented it from being liquid potpourri.
Yelp says live music on Saturdays – didn't really see this when we were there. They were playing jazz over the speakers, though.
Nice tea place. There's always jazz or ambience music playing in the background. There are variety of teas to choose from including non-caffeinated fruit teas. Their food menu is consisted of Korean food with a hint of American touch. Tried the burger platter and it had kimchi as one of the toppings, ha! It was quite unique in its own ways.
You can order teas as single serving or shared size in a large pot. You can also purchase the tea pot there. During the summer, I tried their shaved ice with sweet red bean and lots of nuts. Very tasty! Service is always consistent and location is easy to find. One thing is that although there are parking right in front of the café, it can be a bit difficult to find a spot.
We went here after great ramen lunch – my friend and I was debating between Cafe Bene or this local store and eventually decided to go for Tea Bar as we tried Cafe Bene in Ktown before.
Even though the place is call Tea Bar, it is less of cookies & tea place and more like a lunch place. We got peach tea and Red Velvet cake with ice cream. It costed $7 for small glass of tea for two – I frankly did not expect our $7 tea to be served in that dull plastic glass. The ice-cream scoop costs $3 extra and it's just some mediocre vanilla ice-cream.
