I'm so glad Trade Union exists. I love BedStuy, but I was living in a latte desert.
Before Trade Union, I had to endure an uncaffeinated commute and only found relief once I was by my office. But now Trade Union is here and I don't even have to deviate my walk to the train to stop in. It's perfect! Well, except now it's hard to hold the pole, hold the coffee, and crush candies during my commute.
I've stopped in for a late breakfast, and while they didn't have the steak sandwich my heart was set on, the chicken sandwich was very good. I was also surprised by the kale side salad. Usually side salads are just kind of there, on the plate, making you feel like you should up your veg intake but this salad was actually worth it. The citrus and vinaigrette really brightened the bitter kale and I finished the salad before even starting my sandwich.
Service was a bit slow, but it was their first week so I'll give a pass.
Can't wait for the release of the full menu!
