Some times I don't understand HORRIBLE diner reviews.
Like – – relax – – get yourself a cup of coffee, order an omelet, eat and chill the F out.
My coffee was constantly refilled.
No, my server wasn't bowing down to us – because he works at a diner and doesn't necessarily have to be extremely friendly for his $5 average tip.
My eggs were great – turkey sausage was on point…and who doesn't love a generous potato portion?
Toast came with grape jelly. Anything other than strawberry is just a disappointment. #1stworldproblem
I will be back for more!!
An overall forgettable experience, but what can you expect from a random diner in the UES. We ordered various sandwiches from burgers to the pastrami sandwich, and all were just OK. Nothing stood out, nothing was really good enough to brag about. A positive, noone at the table got sick afterwards. Staff was rather friendly, decor was bland and uninspiring, but hey, its a freaking diner.
Clean.Friendly.
Chicken Souvlaki deluxe. Awesome fries.Great flavored chicken.Ok greek salad.
My lunch companion had a blue cheese, salsa, avocado burger deluxe which was well cooked but a tad too cheesy.
The only time they took a long time was when they needed to pick up our check.
I'd go again if in the neighborhood.
My fiancé and I go here sometimes just to remind ourselves only how reliably bad the service is. The food is actually fine for standard diner food, but the wait times are insane. It is overpriced for what it is.
Gave this place a shot but I regret it now. I went there for lunch and ordered an omelet but unfortunately didn't even get the toast/coffee that comes along with the dish until the end of the meal. The food was okay but to be honest it was overpriced considering the service of this place was so disorganized. I wouldn't recommend it, shouldn't have tried it in the first place. You probably are giving the waiter/waitress the benefit of the doubt but they only swung by once or so. In addition, neither were they seeking any attention if I needed anything. It's alright, will not go here at all. They had a hard enough time giving me the check. Then again, this might be a local joint for residents rather than once in a while customers.
Your standard New York diner. There's a huge breakfast menu offering every combination of eggs, toast, potatoes, and breakfast meats you could possibly dream up. The two eggs any way with potatoes, toast, coffee, and juice is a great deal. Nothing on the plate will blow you away, but it's a great value for a fortifying breakfast served up fast.
