If I'm in the mood for food like my mom makes then I come here. In my opinion this place has the best Guyanese food on Liberty Avenue and there are a lot of Guyanese restaurants. It's consistently delicious and I have never gotten anything from here that was bad. The snacks like salara, potato and cassava ball are the best I've had outside of Guyana and the food itself is good like the fried rice and baked chicken. Forget about the vegetables like the fried potato and roti. The best. This is one of the few places I would take friends who are not Caribbean to try Caribbean food because it tastes just like homemade. I highly recommend it.
If I lived in New York, I would come here all the time for some good guyanese food! Having been away from Guyana/Little Guyana for many years, I'd forgotten what some foods were. The staff were funny and helpful despite this, so I'd especially recommend eating here for a first taste of Guyanese cuisine. You can't beat the prices for the roti and street food (egg ball, cassava ball etc). Just remember to bring cash!
