Decided to give this place a try since I've eyed it many times while passing by. The interior of this place is pretty long… and semi narrow. There are tables on both sides of the wall and merely just a pathway to walk in between. They give you a few dishes to start off with- nothing too extravagant. Mostly vegetable dish as starters & a bowl of peanuts. The menu: there's a lot of exotic dishes to choose from (pork spleen, pork heart, fish sperm…) I'm not really at that level of adventurous when it comes to food so I settled for the cold noodles & my boyfriend chose the shredded pork in sweet garlic sauce. The shredded pork was delicious! It was a little bit on the spicy and tangy side than it was garlic-y, but the flavor was just right. The cold noodles are similar to the Korean dish: nengmyun (the vinegar based cold noodle soup) but was packed with a whole lot of ginger flavor (which added a little more kick to the dish). Overall, I'm pretty impressed, but I probably won't come out of my way to eat this place again. Worth stopping by though! Especially if you're looking for a dish you can't get at many other places. (P.S. They seem to have different menus- one to cater to their Asian customers vs. their non Asian customers).
Before I start, this is a gyopo restaurant.. Chinese born Korean cuisine specifically!
Two words: Neng Myun… or Cold noodles! Don't get anything else during these hot summer days.. It's so refreshing to slurp up those noodles and drink all of that cold broth. Not only is it refreshing, it's sweet and tangy. Honestly, that's all that I go for here. I was not a fan of their dumplings unfortunately!
The interior is nice and there's a good amount of sunshine coming in because of how big the windows are. It's pretty nice in the afternoon. I haven't been here during the night though. The restaurant itself is small
The parking is limited in the lot and is shared with the other stores. To be honest, the parking situation can be a mess! If you see cars doing anything that looks crazy, just don't enter the lot. Entrance to this lot is easiest if you're going north on Parsons Blvd towards Northern. Metered street parking is available along Northern but it isn't guaranteed. Don't want to pay for the meter? You might spend a really long time looking for parking.
Don't drive? The Q13 or the Q28 stops a few steps away! (Parsons Blvd and Northern)
The restroom is clean with dimmed lighting in case you're curious…
