We have been coming to this place for a couple of months now, usually spontaneously when I crave a steak. We keep a Glatt Kosher home so before Tikvah we bought our meat at Aron's Kissena Farms, but then my sister and brother-in-law raved about this place and how good and fresh the meat was so we decided to try it. The first time I bought meat from this butcher we loved it. It was so fresh and tasted superb (Glatt kosher meat is already pre-salted, so if you come here don't salt your meat while cooking).

I keep coming back at least once every couple of weeks and stock up on meat. The only thing that's a little irritating is that when I asked the name of the specific kind of meat I was buying, because our guests were asking so they can come and purchase the same, the owner didn't want to say and told me to tell them to come from me and he would give it to them. Quite odd. Another minus, which is why I really deducted a star was the last time I bought lamb chops from here there was way too much fat. I'm a lean meat kinda of guy. But I'm glad we have a place like this in the hood and Tikvah actually mean Pumpkin in Russian. So I'll def. be coming back to the pumpkin for more meat.
