Nice little shop with a friendly woman at the counter. The coffee is Irving farm. No decaf, only espresso, which was a little sweet-tasting. The wifi didn't work for me.
The food looked health, with vegetarian options (not much gluten-free)
This place is cute! They make a great cup of coffee and an awesome chai latte. It's a little pricey but that comes with the territory. The staff is always friendly and they play some great music. Fun place to hang out and chat.
We were happy to see a cafe shop pop up on 4th ave as many come and then many leave. A great addition to gentrify 4th ave. We did not notice this shop at first because it did not have a shop name but decided to come in for a sweet treat and refuel after a long walk through greenwood.
The coffee is brewed well and very well priced compared to the franchise stores and other coffee places. The cookies here are amazing. We had an oatmeal raisin cookie that melted in your mouth and was moist and slightly chewy.
There are a few people that bring their laptops and do work but there is still plenty of space for others to come, sip their coffee, and relax for a bit.
Tin Cup is tiny, but very good. They have a limited food menu consisting of sandwiches and pastries. I had a cup of excellent coffee and a really good scone for about $5. It seems to get a decent amount of traffic, but never gets too crowded. Good place to read and enjoy a coffee on a Saturday morning without being disturbed.
I love this place to get some work done, ie study! study! study!, while having excellent coffee. I also love the Tin Cup panini. I don't know where they get their bread from but it's so fresh and fluffy – same with the prosciutto! The owner's son is so nice and thoughtful. I loved the latte sprinkled with…nutmeg…I believe? It's definitely one of my favorite cafes in the area. Oh and great music is always playing too.
Cute little coffee shop with a nice sunny view of 4th ave. Their coffee does the job and is much better than their neighbor Dunkin Donuts.
Normally I'd give it 4 stars, but who am I to bring a business's rating down for a great experience?
This neighborhood reminds me of Astoria 5 years ago, when nice coffee shops were hard to come by and you had to know where to go. I stumbled across Tin Cup on a warm day and opted for an iced green tea and yogurt parfait. Their parfait could have easily been phoned-in like other cafes', but it was surprisingly fresh, not sugary sweet, and very delicious. The iced tea was also simple and not artificially sweet.
I'm a sucker for a relaxed but clean ambiance, and this place is perfect for that. Windowside tabletops for a quick sip, and comfort chairs for savoring. The barista was pleasant.
I'll definitely drop by next time I'm in the area.
This is a very quaint, eclectic, and tiny coffee shop in between a laundry mat, restaurant, and barber shop. The regular coffee was pricey for being fairly small and the condiment area was messy the several times I've gone here. And their lids never fit right, I end up spilling my drink everywhere. There's definitely better coffee north east from the location like Roots or Southside.
