We stopped in here after a day of shopping. It wasn't all that good but not bad either.
I enjoyed my tacos (vegetarian)…it was interesting to say the least. My wife didn't enjoy her chicken tacos. She felt they were very dry and over-cooked.
I will give them another try soon and update this review.
…to be continued..
I always call you when is half past 5,
the only time that I'll be by your side,
but that's ok cause I can swoop you up MAC DADDY and I love the way you taste,
when I'm fuc*** that's the real me! I just call you and you're ready, no games MAC DADDY
that's the real me baby.
Ima let you know I keep it simple, I just had the THE BIRD before I had you. THE BIG EASY was no tease it was able to keep up with my tempo. I'm so hooked on Tito's and you're always tryna send me off to rehab, but I'm just tryna enjoy yelping in the moment. The food is showing on my waist line, I keep falling back and relapse, who are you to judge?
Ok back to reality sorry! I was on a food high cause this food is the bomb! Yeah I had Tito's before at a different location and didn't get inspired to write a pervy review, but this location is on point with the taste and fresheness. I love their beans and rice, that's super important for any Spanish food. You mess that up and you have nothing. We usually order take out and it taste just as good re-heated. Great flavor and reasonably priced.
Solid fast-paced Mexican takeout… Much better than anything you are going to get at Chipotle or other chains.
Wings are really good too, except do not get them as take-out or they end up becoming soggy on the ride home.
Love the double shell tacos (1 soft wrapped around a hard shell). Go for the shrimp taco for something different. Garlic grilled shrimp, cabbage, cilantro lime sauce, and some pico
We were in South Orange, and needed some lunch. Thanks to Yelp, Tito's popped up. I like the Mo-town location, and off we went.
First laugh came when we discovered that the site location specialist has a penchant for finding spots short on nearby parking. Getting past that, this location is larger than that in Mo-town. More of the same funky, surf-a-delic decor.
I forgot that they do wings. So, we each tried burritos … of course, I had to pound on the MacDaddy – the steak version of their signature The Bird (is the Word) …. [I love that song, and yes, that is the name of the burrito]. Have to say that I enjoy the yellow rice [with a saffron-esque flave]. Ample but not obscene. Meat was tender and juicy. Good, overall combination of tastes and texture.
We also sampled a dozen wings – six of the Aloha [a pineapple, sweet glaze, and very mild], and six of the Hot, Sweet & Sticky [not especially hot, but fairly sweet and somewhat sticky]. Sauce is, like the burritos, ample but not obscene. Crispy texture.
If in South Orange, or nearby, I'd give this place serious consideration. Good food. Not inexpensive, but tasty.
Decent Mexican, good prices, and they deliver. This should be more like 3.5 stars, if I could. Better than Cactus Charley's, not as good as Tinga in Millburn–but good solid fast inexpensive Mexican. It was our first time, but delivery was crazy quick on a Friday night (20 or 25 mins?!!). Good nachos, fish burrito, and chicken burrito. Plenty of leftovers for breakfast, too.
If you're a lush like me, you might think vodka when you see or hear the name Tito's, but now you should also associate it with fatty burritos and all things Southwestern, too. I stopped in at the South Orange outpost recently and was very pleasantly surprised. The shop itself is small and unassuming, and appears to be just a takeout place at first glance. However, they have a decent sized dining area adjacent to the entryway, so you can definitely post up here and get your food coma on in style and comfort.
I can't stress enough how enormous the burritos are. The one I had was like a powder keg of awesomeness. I tried the Bird (Is the Word), and it was muy delicioso. It was brimming with chicken, black beans, yellow rice, cheese, sour cream, pico & guac. Next time, I'll make sure to get it spicy, for a complete sensory overload. For real though, the burritos here are epic.
Whether you like submarine-sized burritos, handsome tacos (soft tortilla on the outside, crunchy tortilla on the inside…how bout them apples?!), gluttonous nachos, or slightly more delicate quesadillas, Tito's has you covered. Oh yeah, they serve wings too, if that's your thing. I'll def be hitting these guys up again soon when I get the craving. You should, too!
Though you don't get to customize your burrito here like other fast casual spots, the salsa bar options are a nice substitute here and the menu is big enough to appeal to many tastes. There are wings, tacos, burritos, and whatever the daily special is. The burritos are excellent with a choice of chicken, shrimp, or beef, as well as dry or wet. The wet is covered in cheese and enhances the burrito, which I found a bit dry without the extra cheese. The burrito is a massive beast and practically bursting at the seams with chicken, beans, cheese, and sour cream. I liked that chips were included with the burrito and there were multiple salsas and hot sauces to choose from. Service was a bit non-existent, but made a tasty burrito.
Had the Macdaddy burrito and it filled me up good. The black beans were good and had a suffient amount of all the ingredients including the guacamole. The sauces are tasty as well as the empanadas. This blows taco bell away.
