Tito’s Burritos & Wings
“I always order the Bird is the Word burrito and request that it is made with the Carrebian Jerk chicken (it's a special that they don't always have).”
“With tito's food, you can always spice things up with their wide array of available hot sauces and fresh salsas at their self serving salsa bar.”
“And if you ever get nachos take out, DEFINITELY get the ingredients separated.”

I couldn't wait to go here I usually eat Mexican 1-2 a week. I don't understand what everyone else is raving about. 1st this place is tiny! It seats around 12 people tops! If u want to get to the salsa bar forget it. People are standing and blocking it so it's hard to get to because there is one place only for them to place and pickup an order.
I ordered the bird (is the word) NOT! (8.25) for grilled chicken black beans , yellow rice, cheese, sour cream, pico de gallo and guacamole . Oh and it comes with their chip they were greasy. Well I'm used to Mexican chains in Florida this was a big disappointment ! This burrito totally lacked flavor. It needed more garlic, more cilantro , more smokiness, something that would give it more flavor and pzazz! and it was greasy to boot. My husband ordered the Mac Daddy(9.50) for steak, black beans, yellow rice, cheese , sour cream, pico de gallo, salsa, guacamole. Again, it lacked flavor even when adding the toppings bar to it., it still lacked creativity! What is with the plastic basket with wax paper in the bottom that they put ur burrito in? It is so messy. Once u put the salsa on ur burrito or next to it, the wax paper gets soggy and everything leaks thru. This is not a good idea to serve Mexican food in! Save ur money and head over to Chipotle it's organic and flavorful and made in front of u, or head to Moe's if u want fast food type Mexican. Remember flavor is key , not greasiness !
The only positive was the staff, they were very friendly and nice, and the salsa bar. That's why i gave them 1 star.
I came here because I was at the paper source across the street and it seemed to get good reviews on Yelp. It did not disappoint! Service was fast and the staff there are pretty awesome! The crowd was a lot high schoolers coming in for a cheapish burrito which didn't surprise me considering how much food you get for your money.
The chicken quesadilla we got had really juicy and flavorful chicken and was double the size of what we would normally get. I love that it came with a side of guac and sour cream without the extra fee. Wings were decent. I had the mellow and aloha and would want to try the hot wings next time. Both the chicken and beef empanadas were delicious. The pico de Gallo was pretty good. I saw one guy take 8 cups because he loved it that much. I underestimated how much food we were going to get.
Will def return when I'm in the area.
Seating is a bit tight, but GREAT spot! The burritos and tacos are a bit pricier, but they do taste fantastic. I got the BIG EASY, which was a blackened chicken burrito with yellow rice, beans, and three Tito's cheeses. My wife got the shrimp burrito, which was also good…
You might wait a bit for your order, but regardless, it's a solid spot!
I've ordered takeout here a few times and stopped in recently for lunch.
The taco salad is quite tasty but the chopped salad was a bit meh. The burritos are a hit or miss.
I had the mac-daddy which was delicious one time and just ok the second when the meat was a bit burned. Similarly, the hang five shrimp burrito had a lot of burned shrimps, which ruined the taste. Also I felt like it was lacking something in the seasoning to make it more tasty.
I agree with the people saying Chipotle, especially the really good one in Springfield, has better burritos than here.
The lady at the register was not the friendliest and she was kinda apathetic but the customer service wasn't as bad as some are saying here. I've had worse.
After reading my review, the owner reached out to me with a sincere apology and some free tacos. I appreciate that gesture and will definitely give it a second chance.
Easily my favorite place to get a burrito. Particularly, "The Bird"
I am in a minority, I know. Everyone loves this place. I don't. I thought their chips were dry and tasteless. The cheese had no flavor and everything just seemed bland to me. I would rather eat at Chipotle.
Mac Daddy Burrito:
Steak, beans, rice, cheese, sour cream and guac. The tortilla was nice and thick and the steak was well seasoned, although I would have preferred a bit more flavor from the rice and beans.
Beef Empanadas:
Sorry Tito, but these were pretty dismal. They were fairly greasy, and the beef filling was too concentrated and salty. Im a big fan of traditional empanadas that use a pie crust dough. These, however, were made with a puff pastry dough that held onto the oil a bit too much. The side of the chipotle aioli was really good.
Chips:
As with most tex-mex restaurants, they were too thin and under seasoned.
Price:
For two people, expect to pay around $30. It sounds expensive, but when you break it down its slightly less than chipotle. The Mac Daddy burrito (comes with chips and the salsa bar) was $9.75. If I were to have recreated the mac-daddy burrito at Chipolte, the total would have come to $9.83, and that is without chips.
Service:
I think Tito's is going for that artisanal/beachy taco shack/foodtruck vibe, which is one of the reasons I keep coming back. In order to set themselves apart from the big names like Chipotle and Qudoba, they need to hire staff that can sell the vision of the company, instead of people that simply take your order and call out your number. The ambiance and decor is very upbeat, but that staff isn't very personable which is a definite buzz-kill.
