Great spot for lunch. I went after prime lunch hour so it was empty but I'm sure it gets pretty crowded. I wouldn't recommend trying to dine in during then because I didn't notice many tables so take out is your best option. Big variety of cold and hot sandwiches to choose from, ranging from $8-$11. The staff was super nice and quick. I had the pesto chicken sandwich and really enjoyed it. Everything tasted fresh and was made quickly.
Just go in and get out. Breakfast is probably better than lunch. When I used to work around the area I used to get coffee (sometimes) from here, breakfast and lunch. I've tried chicken noodle, salad, turkey sandwich, pizza, etc. But I had those when I first started woking in the area, few years ago. Then I started bringing own lunch and sometimes tried other deli places. Toasties went thru a major makeover 2-3 years ago. When they reopened, the food taste the same. Sandwiches and breakfast place by the entrance is not the best idea. Everybody would stand by the door to wait after they finish ordering. Small space by the door for others to pass due to this traffic. Sandwiches are not bad here. That would be my recommendation if you happen to come across this place. Coffee is not that great, get it only during emergency (if you have to). I went back recently, a bit cleaner than before. They place 2-3 small tables outside. More tables can be found inside, all the way back.
A solid lunch option. I came here with coworkers, as it's about a block and a half from my office. It was a nice escape from the cold and rain on a terrible Friday. I enjoyed an eggplant parmesan on a hero. It wasn't the best I've ever had, but for the price, it was filling and tasted good – in fact, I didn't finish and ate the rest later as an early dinner snack.
The lines, even if a bit long, move quickly, and you can pay before you get your sandwich to expedite your process and save you time. There's also seating in the back if you prefer to stay and eat there, and we had no problem getting a table for 8 or so around noon.
We spent 5 days in NY and we wanted to eat here everyday since we stayed at a walking distance, we didn't though haha they have a great variety of sandwiches and healthy lunches like salmon, grilled chicken etc. The prices are norm for NY, the setting is deli style but if you like to eat fresh and healthy this is your place to go. Breakfast wraps and sandwiches were also pretty amazing!
Bad service, great food. Let me start with the bad. They forgot two items from our order and when I went to the cashier she acted like it was my fault and that I was bothering her. She never even once apologized. Once I got my missing orders, one of them was still wrong but I didn't feel like dealing with her rude attitude. Now the good: the potatoes. They were amazing. The food tasted fresh and the freshly squeezed orange juice was terrific. Overall the food was good but I probably wouldn't return due to the rude service. Maybe next time I will have it delivered.
What a fun little deli! I went exploring with a few coworkers and we came across Toasties. We walked in and were immediately intrigued. There was a salad bar, a pizza section, juice bar and a sandwich/hot food area. It was a bit overwhelming at first. There were so many delicious options to choose from. I finally decided to get the chicken parm sandwich after an hour of perusing through the menu. They took about 5-7 minutes to make it, which is not too bad during rush hour lunch. For the price, the sandwich was well worth it. It was delicious! the chicken was perfectly breaded and cooked and the sauce was very flavorful. I enjoyed it a lot. I'm interested in exploring more of the menu here. I'll certainly be back!
Toasties is a mainstay for breakfast and lunch in midtown. Pop in around 8-9am or over lunch and the place is packed.
They have lots of fresh and healthy options, including cold and hot sandwiches. Their food is always decent, and most orders come out fast. It's a solid stop for a quick lunch solo or with a group because of the variety of food options, but it fades into the crowd of the many similar eateries you can find throughout midtown.
This is a really good spot to stop for lunch or a quick dinner. They have a small salad bar section, along with other hot foods. The sandwiches are Their sandwiches are really well flavored! The flavoring usually comes off as fairly robust, with a good amount of sauce/mustard/etc being put on, but not to the point as which it is overpowering. There is a little bit of room for dining in.
