Gotta preface this by saying I work a few steps away. My friends and I have come to love this place as the service at the bar is the best and the prices are decent… especially for Times Square. The food isn't bad either. They have $9 lunch specials which are actually pretty good – wraps, burgers, salads, etc. The salmon is really good, too.
Christina and Stephanie are the BEST! We actually come down here to see them at the bar and couldn't ask for better.
Oh, and at about 10:30 every night they have Karaoke. The bartenders sing a lot of songs, but after several drinks, a lot of the customers end up singing too. Good times!
This place was so much fun! The music they were playing was great and the drinks were delicious. Our bartender did not mess around. Their drink menu had some great options for mixed drinks and shooters.
We had the Gingerita, the Bulldog, and the Oreo Mudslide. While they were all great, the Gingerita was definitely my favorite.
Came in here on a Tuesday night because as a tourist visiting New York City I wanted to try at bar relatively close to Times Square and noticed the karaoke along with a semi packed house and took a keen interest in this place.
Prices for drinks are relatively the same as any other place and the vibe of the overall bar was okay but not anything exciting. There is a somewhat limited drink menu that I wasn't fond of. As a visitor to the City of New York I wasn't that pleased with my experience at a bar so relatively close to one of New York's well-known attractions. This bar however it was walking distance of other bars for one to visit. Maybe try this place on a weekend.
Came here on a Saturday night to watch an Ohio State football game. Sat at the bar (5 of us) near the door. Bartender was really good. TV was OK, although the reception wasn't great. Got to see the game.
And Busta Rhymes came in. He was very friendly toward us.
We drank a lot here. I think our tab was around $200. We had a lot of fun. Didn't eat anything.
This is not a review based on the food or drinks, this review is based on service or lack there of… I came here awhile back with a few friends after work on a Friday night and we were surprised that it wasn't too packed. We were sat down and must have waited a whole hour and nobody came to take our opener, don't get me wrong different servers stop by the table and informed us that someone would be right with us yet it never happened. Eventually we grew frustrated and offended so we got up and left. Never again.
As time goes by this place happens to be one of the few that offers a decent happy hour depending on the days it's seems like the times have been extended from 8 to 10 not bad always good to have a later happy hour.
As for what's on special & what's good well that's another story mix drinks although some part of the happy hour are really not worth getting because they are just terrible u are basically getting juice which of course sucks I get the cheap specials for happy hour but the least they can do is make a somewhat decent drink.
Cranberry & vodka is basically just cranberry juice , Whisky & diet ahh nothing special.
Some of the mix drinks taste good but are a hit or miss sometimes depends on the bartender making it but really not so much here since they tend to hold back the liquor.
I find that the only times I don't have a problem with the drinks is when I stick to the beer , makes sense since u really can't mess with beer.
Always tend to go with what's on the special I do like that they have Yuengling beer , good beer.
As for the food not too often have we tried much,
The Crab Cakes are pretty good nice combo with the corn salad goes well with the crab cake good dipping sauce.
Fries are good as well great when drinking. Also good are the Chicken Fingers surprisingly tender & juicy not bad for being fried.
Nothing's changed much with this place it can get pretty crowded depending on the times u stop by. It's usually loud & hard find a place to even stand.
service can be slow if u are sitting at the tables specially if it's crowded a little better if sitting at the bar.
Service for the most part is ok , prices are not bad during happy hour .. I'd say sticking to beer is the way to go here if u don't want to be disappointed by the mix drinks.
Stopped by for a vodka soda and it was karaoke night. Pretty decent bar! I was surprised by the number of great singers in the crowd. The bartender gave me a free Scooby snack shot and I was on my way back to sightseeing around Times Square.
Came for happy hour. Loud sports bar but great for huge groups.
Got the frozen sangria and it was weird. It tasted really sweet and not like wine. Lot of friends got the margarita and said it was light on alcohol. One friend got a rum and coke and said it was super strong. Not too sure what to think of the bartender.
Service is kinda slow. You see the waitress once and then almost never again, especially when you're trying to get the bill.
