“The penne alla vodka, and I forget the name of the other one but it was three meatballs and I did not expect that from the description, nevertheless it was big in size.”
“I got the fried calamari, and pan-fried cheese filled raviloi as appetizers.”

The food was okay, good at best-not amazing. Service was really prompt, super friendly, fast and efficient. We happened to stumble upon it on a random weeknight during dinner time, thinking we would get some pizza pasta and calamari and call it a night. For an average to below average (bland bland bland) meals we walked out with a bill of $110, for nothing that really warranted it. Calamari for appetizers was good, spicy, but not fried enough in our opinion. The calzone was average I guess, and the stuffed shells were just bland, the Nutella cannolis were a huge disappointment as the Nutella was on a soft fried dough with cannoli cream in the center of the plate-not even in a cannoli shell. Probably won't be returning as we were unpleasantly surprised by the taste and cost of the food.
Ordered the Fried Calamari with Hot sauce, Some steak, some pasta with mushrooms, And mussels.
The waiter was pretty helpful. They were quick with our requests : we asked for extra lemons, cheese, red pepper, and there were no ifs ands or buts, they provided it to us quickly.
Would love to go back and try more of their items.
What a fantastic experience we had last night at Trattoria 35! We were greeted upon walking in with a warm greeting & were given the option of whether we wanted to sit a table or booth. We chose a booth & it was quite comfortable. Sometimes you sit in a booth & you can feel every movement of the person sitting behind you…not the case here. The server came over quickly, took our drink order & returned with our drinks just as quickly. We ordered chicken parm & farfalle de salmone. The chicken was incredibly tender & was served with carrots, green beans, & fingerling roasted potatoes. The farfalle was perfectly al dente & served in a light pink sauce with perfectly cooked salmon with crispy skin & peas; it was delicious! I thoroughly enjoyed the food, ambiance, & service. This restaurant also has complimentary valet but we found a spot right in front of the restaurant. I highly recommend this Italian restaurant when on Bell Blvd!!!
I thought the food was just ok, as well as their service. The waiter wasnt rude or anything, but just had an uninterested attitude. The calamari was a bit on the soft side and didn't have too much flavor.
The stuffed mushrooms were really good! I also enjoyed my alfredo pasta, which was really rich and almost knocked me into a coma.
We ordered a pitcher of sangria, but it was too sweet for my preference. However the girls absolutely loved it!
A local spot we rarely visit because we are lazy lol omg the menu has such great choices. The weather was great so we opted-in to dine in the roof deck. Glass of wine, yummy food. Grilled octopus for appetizer, both selected pasta with a mix of seafood as a main dish The sauce… uummm more bread olease… the sauce…wow! The dish was so good. So we will stop being such home bodies during the week and visit this spot more often.
Came here with a group of eleven to celebrate my girlfriend's retirement. The manager is always near the doorway and welcomes every customer. He's friendly and always wears the nicest shirts! And he's quite the smooth cool dude. He'll stand out.
This is my fourth visit here and each time I have a slightly different experience. First the service, they are always busy so that keeps everyone on their toes. The waiters and bus boys keep a tight ship and are usually on point with service and refills.
Second, the food is always delicious. I am a fan of the Northern Italian cuisine, its menu offers plenty of price points and plenty of variety to satisfy all, allergies included.
Third, they have an awesome drink menu and the wine prices are very reasonable.
Bonus: they have FREE valet parking in a very busy area of Bayside, extremely helpful. And they have a rooftop area. Great for the balmy nights where you want to hang with a few buddies and drinks in hand.
This particular dinner was extra special since I was with a large group. I was able to order more food than usual. Ha ha. So I'll spare the babble and just drop the must try:
Calamari appetizer (there's a marina sauce classic or the spicy), both are excellent – lightly fried and you can still taste the squid. Just the way it should be. Also must try, this is on the pizza 35 menu, great for sharing since it's their larger rectangular shaped one, the Margherita style.
It has a thin crust, mozzarella, and light sauce. Topped with basil leaves. Simple. Delicious.
The other stand out dishes: veal, Vitello alla thirty five. Tender veal medallions topped with prosciutto, baby spinach and mozzarella. There's a great amount of veggies on the side and under it. Shiitake mushrooms, carrots and skin on roasted potatoes. My buddies ordered the seafood special, if it's available, order it. (This was a Thursday night in case this is helpful). The seafood pasta was tagatelle with a medley of seafood. Shrimp, clams, mussels, soft shell crab, all in a lovely garlic olive oil base.
And surprisingly a stand out salad, Tre Colori. Note if you don't like gorgonzola cheese then skip.
For the wines, let's just say I'm not a buff but I'm no amatuer either, the Malbec went well with everything I ate.
Came here for lunch with a friend and if I had to rave about one thing, it would be the excellent staff members (one of the friendliest bunch). As for the food, my friend and I tried the Calamari and the Margherita Pizza. The calamari was pretty good, a tad bit too greasy, but you can tell that the squid was very fresh. The pizza was tasty, not the best I've ever had, but it was still good. Also, every table gets a complimentary basket of bread and I thoroughly enjoyed that as I was waiting for our food to come out. Overall I would come again if I'm around the area and craving for some Italian.
Allright so I've been coming here for awhile.. And I've actually had my engagement party dinner here with large groups; food and service has been really great.
Yesterday I had a revisit yesterday and was extremely disappointed for a friend's birthday. The service was really choppy, they kept changing waiters during shift (2-3 times?) and kept dropping our requests and orders. I mean I understand if there's a shift change but they were just all shifting tables, pretty annoyed before food came out.
The food, I had the risotto — it was, for lack of a better word, disgusting. It tasted like.. Nothing; there was no taste, extremely bland. I went to town with the salt, pepper, cheese, whatever the hell else was available and it was already at a point of no return.
Friends got the rigatoni dishes, pizzas, and they were all similar. Only decent one was the carbonara, and the appetizers calamari and mushrooms. Bread was stale, butter was hard.
We sat for the cake to come out for a good 20 minutes and had to remind them 3 times.. Cmon man and the best part is after we told them 3 times who the birthday girl was, it went to the wrong guy..
Overall I guess I'd be willing to try again but may need a good year to muster some courage.
