This name kills me. It's not a treat house. You have rice crispy only treats and some homemade ice bream bars. With that said, I love the Rice Crispy bites. I especially love the pretzel chocolate and dark chocolate chunk. There is also a lot of food inside for in-door seating! Come- but beware of the variety of tasty treats!
Large selection of rice crispy treats. Pretty decently priced for each piece. had the smore one, decorated with marshmallow on top – cute piece. The consistency of the cake is like any normal rice crispy, but the drizzle and the decorations make it unique and worth it a visit every now and then.
What a disappointment.
We are staying nearby and passed this little shop on the way to a bodega, and I just had to stop in and get a treat. I love Rice Krispie treats and was really excited by the concept – even though the price is disgusting. $5 for two very small treats.
I had the chocolate chip cookie treat, and it was not good. We bought them at the end of the day and it was completely stale – no crunch at all, and when my RK treats at home get to this soggy, unappetising texture, I throw them away – not charge $2.50 for it.
My husband's birthday cake wasn't quite as stale but I didn't have any hint of birthday cake when I ate it.
Give it a miss.
As odd as it sounds, these little decorated Rice Krispy treats are the perfect giveaway at parties and events. We have used Treat House as a vendor at my job, and not only did everyone enjoy them, they were packaged in small boxes that we could artfully arrange as a display.
I am thinking about picking up some of those little cubes as part of a birthday present for someone soon. Hmmmm….
The very best bit about this store is the unbridled joy you get when you realise it's a shop that specialises in Rice Krispie treats. I was grinning for a good ten minutes. The problem is that the grin goes away once you actually try to eat one of these things – they're really not good at all. The flavours are there but the texture is just plain nasty as they're just so soft from sitting out too long.
Perhaps if they were cheaper I wouldn't be expecting something a lot better but at nearly $3 each for a tiny little square of Rice Krispies you clearly have to expect them to be much better than anything you could get from a supermarket. But they're not. So since they haven't actually improved on anything, I'd suggest that you simply avoid this place.
Incredible cute desert with incredibly disappointing result. I really think these deserts are gross. Not much else to say – they are pretty to look at but otherwise disappointing.
I was excited to come across this shop and I love the concept of specialty rice krispies. Who knew you could do so many interesting things with rice krispies?! Although there were many things I wanted to try, I only got the mint chocolate ice cream bar and the s'mores rice krispy. I would've gotten more, but these things are expensive! The mint chocolate ice cream bar was pretty delicious. It was refreshing and the perfect dessert to end my day. The s'more rice krispy treat, however, was stale, like many of these reviews claim. I'm so disappointed because this shop could actually thrive! They need to lower the prices and make smaller batches! Please take my advice, Treat House!!
My office gave us all treats from Treat House for Valentine's Day. I had one with chocolate covered Rice Crispy cube. It was cute and very unsubstantial. A nice gesture, I suppose, but I can't ever think of a situation where I would spend money on these.
