This place is right around the corner from me, so I decided to see what mineral water they had. Radenska and Borsec which is nice and a new one from Italy. They have all sorts of Turkish treats. Go inside and check it out, the people are really nice.
Great place! Where can you find roasted chickpeas, chocolate filled with pistachio nuts, rose jam, fig preserves, quince jelly? Right here in Turkiyem. There are a ton of hidden gems in here. I think anything Turkish or Mediterranean you can get here. I saw grape leaves, tahini, yogurt, cheeses, and of course, my favorite thick Turkish bread. They also have olive oil conditioners, lotions, soaps, etc. I saw baklava and other treats to make your kids have a tantrum. I'm so coming back here.
This grocery store isn't very large, but it's packed to the gills with products imported from Turkey. So if you're looking for anything from ayran to kokoreç, this is your go to place! I went here looking for ingredients to make salep, which is a perfect drink to make on a cold day (especially appropriate because the weather has been absolutely frigid lately). I found the powdered mix. I also purchased a gallon of milk and some cinnamon powder to complete my concoction. Overall, I would come here again!
I recently went to Turkey and did a food tour. One of the highlights was Turkish breakfast, which I was able to recreate at home from things I bought in this store. It's a bit of a schlep for me but loved the personal service.
