  1. I was a little disoriented when we first walked in because it seems like they've added a cafe in the lobby of a grocery store. So not the best first impression but my dad really needed some halal dinner so there really wasn't another option.

I was also confused by the serving situation. But as it turns out, the lady sitting at the cash does full-serve. So she will hand you menus, take your order, and bring you the food. We opted for kofte, mixed grill, lamb kebab, and hummus. Everything was pretty yummy. I would recommend whole-wheat rice over white because they cook it in a unique fashion I hadn't experienced before. Also, they didn't serve pita with hummus – instead, they offered it with a Turkish interpretation of a dinner roll, I believe. The ingredients in the dishes tasted fresh and they were well-prepared. I also loved how they accompanied the mains with roasted peppers and fresh salad. However, the sauces on the side were stale and unoriginal.

The price point was great especially given that each main course comes with rice and salad. I would suggest this joint for a casual weeknight dinner or take-out.

  2. The people are right everything wad prefect.

The mix our wad the best.

Gyro meat really good not dry like most places

    The kabobs really good flavor.

  3. When I see a 5 star average and a mostly short reviews with relatively new profiles on Yelp I am always suspect, but I figured what the heck I would give them a shot since they are close by and another place that delivers. I must say, I am happy I did!

I have driven by this small store front many times, it is low key with a tree in front so it is easy to miss, but you probably wouldn't want to pass it. We chose delivery and it was super fast (~30 min) probably because we ordered early in the evening, but they forgot our lahmacun that a quick phone call remedied.

For a very reasonable amount of money we got quite the feast! The small cold appetizer is great way to try all the dips, which I highly recommend – Hummus, eggplant salad, baba ghonush, labneh and eggplant with sauce. All were fresh, delicious and well made with the baba ghonush being a stand out! Also wanted to try the falafel so we got the app – served on a bed of hummus these were denser and crisper than most places – I've had better elsewhere. A football sized amount of delicious, freshly made bread (~7 pieces) came with our order as well – fantastic bread!

For our main we got the lamb chops and the lamb adana, which is ground lamb seasoned with spice, red peppers, gently spiced with paprika and grilled on skewers. Both platters came on a bed of rice, with a grilled jalpeno like pepper and tomato as well as a side salad. A minty, white sauce and spicy vinegar based sauce that compliments the meat so well were include on the side. Being new to lahmacun I found it to be decent, but the delay in the delivery left it a bit soggy – probably a dish better eaten as soon as its made – it came with all the additions of tomato, onion, parsley, lemon.

The food here is outstanding and for the money can not be beat. There are many fresh and bright flavors that are hallmarks of great Turkish and Mediterranean food. We plan to add this place to our delivery/take out locations and probably pop in for a meal once in a while.

  4. I was craving kabobs today, so for lunch decided to give this place a try. It did not hurt that a trusted friend said this place was amazing. So now, more excited to order, I asked for the lentil soup and chicken adana. Despite the long wait for delivery (which they did mention on their website so it was to be expected) the food was great!
The lentil soup is pureed so there are no intact lentils. It has great spicy flavoring and with the complimentary bread that they give, its a meal in and of itself! Not to mention, the bread is very  tasty with scattered sesame seeds. It was a hit at the workplace.
The chicken adana was also very good. Very tender meat with flavored rice. Watch out for the red pepper in the platter, it is very spicy!

I am a fan of classiness and this place definitely revealed itself to be so. They also provided fresh watermelon! Two boxes of generously cut watermelon pieces that I ended up needing due to my burning mouth.

Overall, great place! I will definitely order from here again.

  5. It pains me to write this mediocre review. My coworker today was raving about this place so I went on Yelp and was excited to see all of the good reviews. We decided to order from here for lunch and I had such high expectations.

First off, it took over an hour to deliver the food and we didn't receive any heads up about a delay. I ordered the lamb platter and wasn't too impressed. The lamb pieces were very thin and I thought the rice underneath tasted a bit greasy. I also asked for no tomato and right on top was a gigantic grilled tomato (see pic).

My co workers ordered chicken platters and seemed happy so I'm guessing I just chose the wrong menu item this time. I will definitely try it again, but it probably won't be for a while given how long it took them to deliver the food and the fact that it didn't live up to the hype.

  6. it was raining it was damp I was hungry and not so close to home …open up my yelp app and find me some tasty food!
typed in vegetarian and up come Turkuaz
it was 2 min from where I was …
    parking on a busy street
    there are about 6 tables
when I walked on a girl was cleaning
it seems you order at the counter then sit
there are cases filled with dairy items and drinks
I saw Turkish Yogurt drinks and other beverages I had never seen till this day
friendly guy in a chef jacket took my order
of course I ordered falafel  have had it many places
including Israel (where the best Falafel in the world is to be had) I also ordered hummus because what is good vegetarian with out hummus
oh boy was I in for a treat
their menu has many other items including chicken dishes
and Lahmacun (which the menu says is a meat pie)
and other pies from their "brick Turkish oven"
Ok I am handed a bag with my food I can feel its hot
I got in my car and like a starvin marvin I wolfed down my falafel sandwish
it was in a hot bread wrap with salad tomatoes tahini sauce (YUM) and some sort of yum salad dressing
it was so good and so filling
the big falafels were not greasy just so good with just a bit of spicyness
I saved the hummus for later I ate it at home with the thick bread just nice and creamy and good
    I for sure will return
