Living locally, we come here regularly and have never been disappointed. They have many healthy options and price is good for the quality of food. Servers are always friendly and knowledgeable for recommendations. Parking is easy for the most part( except for holidays). French press is delicious and they have a variety of teas( unlike most that simply have low caliber Lipton black tea). We love it and will continue to visit.
My husband and I have been to this location a few times. We usually go very early on a random weekday so the service is always quick, friendly, and attentive. I've ordered different egg dishes, all good and filling. They offer coffee in a french press and teas from Mighty Leaf, one of my favorite brands of organic tea. Their hot chocolate is delicious! They offer different kinds depending on the season but I usually stick with the classic hot chocolate. Yum! A nice place to eat if you need a change from your typical NJ diner.
Definitely an ideal brunch spot with lots of cutesy things on the menu from waffles to a variety of hot chocolates including Reese's cups.
I've been twice. The first time the blueberry lemon pancakes were delightful. The second time my French toast was light and fluffy and the stuff dreams are made of.
I tried my friends egg Benedict, which I've never had before, and it made me want to try a plate of my own next time!
On weekends there will be a wait, consider reservations.
You know it is good when it succeeds in a center of town location while being closed for dinner. Excellent pancakes; many outdoor tables. Often very crowded.
Came here on a Sunday as i was visiting town. The wait was really long. They have a waiting area for people to sit, read papers and eat cups of snacks (cereals). We ordered some drinks to wait. My son has the smores hot chocolate which i thought tasted really food. He didnt seem like he like it tho (more for mommy).
We finally got seated and placed our orders. Our orders took long to come as well. The hostess brought us a plate of fruits on the house and apologized.
When the food finally came, i had the lobster eggs benedict which my girlfriend had raved about. In my opinion i felt it tasted okay. It had all the right things in it, lobster pcs, poached eggs, hollandaise sauce and even avocados! But i expected it to be more flavorful.
Overall, it was a very very long wait just to have brunch and only to taste moderate in the end. But i was told this is the only place that serves brunch around the area.. Maybe thas why it was so busy.
Came here for lunch on Wednesday around 2:30. We were seated in the back room. I still can't stop itching … The table was covered in fruit flies and I couldn't seem to catch them all.
Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. But the food runners were extremely rude and had a very negative attitude. You would think bringing food to the table wouldn't involve talking. At 3:02 pm one of the girls came to take our plates, since we were done eating.. Another girl then yelled from the kitchen saying after 3pm we don't clean those tables. She then put the plates back on our table and walked to the kitchen. WOW.
I'm not really surprised since my mom has come here over 10 times and said she will never come back because of the service.
As for food- I do like the healthy options on the menu… But they are definitely lacking on flavor. I got the quinoa bowl and was pretty happy once I poured hot sauce over it. They also have what looked like really good French toast and waffles– but I haven't eaten that type of food since I was a kid so…
The best way to describe this place is a glorified diner with really expensive soft drinks. Steer clear of their teas and juices… Your better off saving that money and just going to Starbucks 2 doors down 😉
This was my first time trying it out. The place was crowded when I arrived. We ended up ordering and sharing an order the crunchy monkey (pancakes with bananas and granola), lobster benedict, and the yogurt parfait (with bananas and granola….see a theme here? Lol). The benedict wasn't anything out of the ordinary. It was cooked well but flavor wise, a little on the salty end for me. The pancakes were delicious and light. The yogurt parfait was also delicious and pretty big for an "appetizer". It was big enough to share. We had to wait a little while to flag someone down for an extra knife but it was pretty busy so understandable.
Nice diner spot with good, fresh food!
My boyfriend had the chocolate chip pancakes (sans raspberry sauce) and they were delish. I had the scrambled eggs with a side of sausage. The sausage was a miss for me – a little spicy and not your classic sausage.
Good coffee, really pretty decor. 4 stars.
