Upon walking in, I was promptly greeted by their staff and was very friendly. Only ordered an ice coffee and stayed for over 2 hours. Staff did not try to kick us out or force us to order more. Would return if I'm in the neighborhood.

Turnpike Cafe has an interesting blend of cuisines. The menu has strong Middle Eastern, Italian, and American influences amongst other less prevalent influences. They serve an assortment of foods including omelettes, wraps, paninis, pasta, fish, and more.
I like that they start you off with some toasted bread and small portions of a specialty salad or spread. The service was a little slow; however, having the bread along with the salad samplings soothed the wait. The bread and the entrees are filling, so I was happy I did not order an appetizer.
I had the shashouka for my main entree which is a must order if you have not tried it before. I highly recommend this dish here. It is very flavorful. The shashouka was well seasoned and salted. The fresh herbs complimented the tomato and egg based dish well too. I opted to have the Israeli side along with it. The dressing on salad was light; it has pleasant notes of bitterness and sourness.
