I feel so bad giving this three! But I haven't found their pizza that flavorful. This is a VERY popular spot! Locals and veterans of the city always point me here. It's good pizza and they have a fun variety, the staff is nice too. Other than that… I don't know what else to say… The posters alone might give it an extra star. But… I just don't enjoy the food as much as I'd like; and for the price? Hm, maybe not again.
Decent spot for a quick slice! Late at night I feel like this would be the perfect spot to have a date and really hit it off as you really delve deep into the other person's life. You know? Like you really get to know them and you go on a walk, and even though the pizza wasn't superb the company you had made the occasion something special and subsequently everything tasted better.
In the Hell's Kitchen area and wanting to get your pizza fix? Come down to Two Boots as the guys here won't let you down. They have an expansive menu so you can get what you want, or get a slice of everything.
Prices are not too bad, and the flavour of the pizza is even better. Nice fresh ingredients & cooked to perfection. They have limited seating & booths, but you usually can get a seat if you are eating in.
Came back again to Two Boots. This area of Times Square/Hell's Kitchen is a melting pot of all different sorts of food from all different countries and cultures, from Italian to Thai. Two Boots is a pizza franchise with locations throughout the city. They specialize in thin crust pizza with only the freshest of ingredients. If you're a vegetarian you will love this place, they offer quite a few vegetarian and even vegan pies.
This location in particular is decorated with all sort of kitchy artwork, from old school B-grade '50s movie posters to paintings that will make you wonder if they slipped a little LSD into the pizza LOL.
The pies here are named after famous celebrities, some still living but most are passed on. I ordered the Larry Tate, which is topped with fresh tomatoes, garlic and spinach. That felt a little plain to me, so I had extra cheese added on to my slice. It was exactly what I wanted, the thin crust was crisp, and the ratio of tomato to cheese was mathematically delicious.
Stopped by here after watching a show. Location is definitely great for showgoers or commuters from Port Authority. Open late, with quick and friendly service, and a few tables and booths to sit at.
The decor is colorful and cultured. I got the animal slice and my boyfriend got the regular cheese slice. I'd say mine was decent, nothing mindblowing. The animal slice is a very thin crust with spinach and artichoke. It's the healthier version of Artichoke Pizza.
Eh horrible pizza to be brutally honest. Stopped by while heading out of NYC on a Sunday night while stuck in horrible traffic. Was expecting this to be great since I heard the Two Boots in Hoboken has amazing pizza. But disappointed. Bought two slices of plain, four total because I was with someone. Four slices and two canned sodas, $15. Whoa. Overpriced. There is a $1 spot pizza down the block that is literally perfect.
The issue I had with this pizza was that it had wayyyyy too much cornmeal at the bottom of the pizza. You could mistake the cornmeal for the actual dough. There was so much of it it was gross, ruined the taste of the pizza. Also when they heated up the slices they burnt the pizza completely. The bottom was black and the top of the crust had black too. Horrible.
Do not recommend !
We needed a place to quickly grab a bite while running through the neighborhood. This popped up on Yelp, and satisfied its purpose, effectively.
The schtick with the pizza names is a little cheesy, but the pizza we sampled was tasty – definitely not a $0.99/slice-quality. Colorful and fun sitting area. Garlic knots were ample, fresh, and satisfying. Service was great! The guy who took our orders was engaging, friendly, and helpful – even with a chaotic order of 4 kids and three adults. He helped us, as well as the other customers feel welcome and comfortable.
Not fancy, but fun. Great pizza. Excellent service. Not Times Square. 😉
just when im beginning to go stir crazy waiting for my pie, does the buzzer ring in the distance. i lept and ran out in glee. of course the pizza is lukewarm but one bite in and yesyesyesathousandtimesyes. was this bird amazing or what. golden dark toasty crust, layered with jalapeno buffalo chicken, sauce cheese and the toppings of the heaven. the medium is a solid 22 bucks with tip but its worth it on the first bite. an hours wait it was worth it. sex in my mouth you deserve this. so i just turned on the oven to 400 and i got the chipotle tobasco on standby. lets heat this shit up and have some fun.
Love me some Two Boots pizza. This location isn't really built for eating in, but the pizza is still good and the take out is reliable. I like that I can order for a big group and have the option of a vegan pizza, which btw is far better than you'd expect.
