for a local cheap half off sushi place they are ok.
Not something I urge you to go out of your way to try but if in the area and are in need of sushi for whatever reason you can rely on the place to not be totally awful.
Will be back in the future.
Bear with me here. One bad experience in, I let it go. Two bad experiences in, a bad review was in store but procrastination prevailed. But the THIRD bad experience…well, that calls for a troll bomb in my book of restaurantism.
I will note, twice that I went here when they opened up (party of 2 both times), it was a good experience. And by good I mean standard Brooklyn sushi experience where you don't get blown away by food or service and thats totally fine. But these guys have to be the most apathetic restaurant employees and managers I have ever seen.
The wait-staff will mix up orders , or forget them. And the portion of your order that they got right, they'll just leave on top of the sushi bar to get stale while the poor sushi chef mends the error. You'll wait for your drinks and probably have to remind them what you asked for. You will be SHUSHED for speaking too loudly on a Saturday at 9pm, and mistakes will come up on your check. All of the aforementioned occurred, in no concrete order; sort of a medley of a bad bad BAD restaurant experience.
I find this restaurant abhorrent and vile for these reasons. If you're in this area of Brooklyn, there are plenty of fantastic sushi joints like Mitoushi on Kings Highway (NOT Sheepshead) or Tenda on Sheepshead. So don't settle for something so reprehensibly awful.
(Ordering out from them is also mental-emotional self-mutilation). Just avoid.
not bad at all, came here for lunch while I was at the beach. theres good lunch specials, awesome bubble tea, a lot of variety, and the service is good. its not the best sushi I had but it was a-ok, good for a quick bite. nothing makes this place stand out from others.
the place itself is very pretty with a clean bathroom which is a plus.
