  1. This place was just the place that my friend and I needed after biking through Brooklyn and into Prospect Park. My friend has been here once before and boasted about how cheap this place was.

Upon arriving, I was greeted with a menu board full of a variety of different ice creams, floats, gelatos, Italian ices and floats. It took a while for me to choose what I wanted. My friend went with the birthday cake Italian ice while I went with the Saprano Spumoni. The birthday cake tasted like…birthday cake. The Saprano Spumoni however, had chocolate, pistachio and cremolata. It was an unique mix of interesting flavors. Not bad. My order wasn't sweet in the first place, but it turned out to be extremely sweet as I was finishing. I tried the vanilla ice cream egg cream after I finished and it also wasn't bad. I kinda wished that they stirred the drink up for me because I swallowed a mouthful of just seltzer water on my first gulp.

Overall, I enjoyed my experience here and k would be returning in the future.

  2. Absolute perfection on a hot and humid summer day! This place is an order counter and perfect for a grab and go treat. They have a TON of flavors and will let you sample them before you commit. A small Italian ice (no dairy, YASSS lactose intolerant friendly) will cost you $2.50. I repeat, $2.50. I have NEVER spent $2.50 in New York and have been satisfied. I also watched her PACK the scoops full to the brim. I even got 2 flavors and probably the equivalent of at least 3 scoops.

You won't be disappointed! Grab an Italian ice now!

  3. I absolutely love this place. For the lactose intolerant, it's a dream. Creamy and flavorful milk free ices. Great prices. Lines can get long from all the parents and kids, so build in some time during peak times of the day, but yessss.

No seating at this one. There's some seating at the Louis C's a 10 minute walk away at 7th and Union.

  4. So excited they are open now, their two dollar soft serve cone is the best deal in park slope. Prices are good and so is the product 🙂

  5. This is a popular local spot for ice cream in the warmer months. It's right in front of the 7th Avenue F train station and the lines can get pretty long.  During the winter, this location serves soup (Soup Bowl of Park Slope).

They have soft serve, Italian ices, ice cream, shakes, and other frozen drinks, all ranging from $3-6. Despite the wide variety of flavors, I prefer the vanilla and/or chocolate soft serve. Their regular ice cream has too much of a stretchy consistency. They can also be over-frozen and tough to break into with a plastic spoon.

  6. Move over Ben. Slide over Jerry.

Amal D.'s review of Uncle Louie G's got me to notice the outpost near the 7th Ave F/G stop, so I stopped by to check it out.

This stuff is creamy and delicious and the ones with "stuff in them" give Mr.'s Ben and Jerry a run for their money. I will surely be back to check out more flavors.

    I hate you, Amal.

  7. Not inexpensive, but ridiculous variety of both ice cream and Italian ices, both of which are rich and delish. Probably the best ices I've ever had–they taste more like ice cream or sorbet than the old pizza place ices I had as a kid. The chocolate chip is simple, but good; the spumoni is a little more exciting and varied, and also great.

  8. A local chain offering italian ices, ice cream, and soft serve. Just walk up to the counter with your cash and order away. I don't know what else to say. Its ice cream!
