  1. I'm surprised I haven't reviewed this place. I do like it. Although I had only eaten here a few times. In my opinion, the best Korean fried chicken. First off, I love the flavors they offer. My faves are soy garlic, bbq mustard, and sweet and spicy. Their fries are very good, macaroni salad, and cole slaw good too. It ain't cheap fried chicken, but is so much better than KFC. Ur tastebuds won't regret it, but ur waistline might lol.

Came for the first time in a long time last week. I see they have added beer to the menu. Sounds pretty perfect. Will def have that next time.

  2. the best value in Korean Fried Chicken west of Flushing. $18 for 14 pieces with 2 sides, was nice and filling for 2 people, washed down with a shared $8 flight of beer. ~$30 out the door for beer and wings for 2, what more can you ask for?

If I could change something, I would be more liberal seasoning the fried chicken with the glaze. This makes the dry sections of the chicken (inevitable to some degree) more appetizing when you can dip them into the leftover glaze. Plus, if you order rice, it will be good to mix together with the sauce.

The staff is very nice, and seem to have regulars / friends that often stop by just to say hello to them even if they won't eat.

The beer selection is nuts btw. You can even fill growlers here.

  3. Let's start off by saying the name of this sweet spot is EPIC! I must admit that the chicken truly is unidentified… How in the world do they get the wings so perfectly crispy when they add such incredible flavor in the sauce??? It's like pure magic! My favorite flavor is certainly the soy garlic!

My sister ordered us the 20 piece which is 22 bux and brings 2 sides! Perfect amount for the four people sharing it, although I alone ate 7 pieces (I couldn't help myself)! The sweet potato fries are purple sweet potato which my Dominican peoples and I adore! I just wish it had a unique side on the sauce, it comes with honey mustard which I don't think complemented it as well. Perhaps a chipotle aoili or something creamy and salty?

Let's get on to the beer shall we? I had the cheapest beer flight ever 8 bux for four 4oz tastings! Yes please! I sampled the LIC beer which was a nice wheat ale, the Alpine Beer an APA from Cali, and Flower Power from Ithaca which both had a classic dark and bitter IPA taste. Finally, my ultimate favorite was the Ommegang NY wheat beer. It was light, refreshing, with hints of citrus that made it a perfect complement to the wings. I had the whole party ordering it.

I forgot to note we came here for my sister's birthday party on a Saturday night. She had reserved a community style table in the lower level of the restaurant for about 20 people. It was the perfect space with no stress over the bill since everyone orders on their own, just what is needed for large groups. She was able to bring cupcakes and a cake. Our server who totally rocked being able to serve such a large group on her own Goku was very accommodating and responsive to all of our requests. I would have stayed all night if only the volume of the music was a bit louder, would have been nice to actually hear the old school jams that were playing. Would definitely recommend for a chill night out with a large group of friends!

  4. Good korean style chicken spot in Jackson Heights. Good price point. I enjoyed the soy garlic the most

  5. Very solid KFC in Jackson Heights, especially when you don't want to make the trek to the chicken wonderland in Flushing.

    Pros:
    – Cute interior complete with chalk illustrations of the chicken prep process
    – Impressive beer selection, including an extensive list of fruity beers and ciders for those who aren't beer people but want the chimek experience; I had a shanty that was pretty refreshing when had with the chicken
    – Reasonable prices if you order wings and drums separately; our tab came out to $17 per person include drinks
    – Freshly fried foods! The fries were noticeably hot and crispy
    – Attentive and friendly service; one of the girls even acted as our personal soundhound/shazam service when we couldn't identify a Tory Lanez song playing in the background

    Cons:
    – Chicken wasn't anything special. Don't get me wrong, it was solid (we got half soy/garlic and half hot), but if you're an experienced KFC consumer you probably won't be wowed.
    – Only one restroom, located downstairs in the bar area; luckily it wasn't busy but I could see how it could get an inconvenience on weekends.

Overall, I had a great time at UFC, and while the chicken here wasn't the best I've had, I'd be back to hang out with friends again!

  6. Overpriced Korean fried chicken.

14 pieces of chicken (wings and drums) w/ 2 small sides for $19.60 (including tax). Smells great but damn the pieces are small! The wings are baby size wings and the drumsticks tasted very dry and bland on the inside. The wings were much more juicier and tender but they were so tiny. The size of the drums were reasonable but they tasted awful. The skin tasted fine but once you bite into it, it tasted like a chicken that was steamed or boiled. Barely any flavor, simply bland and boring with no zing. We got coleslaw and macaroni salad for sides. They tasted okay but could of used a little bit more vinegar for flavor.

Verdict – We ordered through the yelp app for the first time. It was quite easy to use and efficient. Our order was ready nearly 10 minutes earlier it said it would be. The sauces and flavor were on point but it just didn't seep into the drums. I do wish the wing sizes were larger to fulfill my appetite and the prices here is still a big turnoff for me. It's just fried chicken!

  7. If you want beer, this is the place!  The menu has over 30 different beers from all over the world.  Each drink has its own glass.  I noticed they have salads, sandwiches, and fried chicken wings (of course!)  They have different flavors of sauce and a great selection of beer.

I ordered the Lambic Beer (Framboise).  It is like a fruity beverage!  Think raspberry + seltzer + beer = Lambic Beer.  It was quite tingly in a good way!  I also had a chicken parmigiana sandwich which was filling and tasted healthy and delicious.

I went with about seven of my girlfriends and we basically closed the place.  It was a rad time, and I would absolutely revisit.  The servers were really sweet and patient over our pondering and indecision.  I'm so glad it is walking distance from me.  Hooray!

  8. korean fried chicken was done well, it is more expensive than american fried chicken but it's so crispy and the sauce is so tasty it's kinda worth. Their beer menu is pretty intense. Not a bad place to just binge on a friday night.
