So, theres not much to say about one location that is not true about the other. I love their deep dish pizza, its very good. The pizza for one is definitely filling and worth it. I love the pepperoni!
Service here was actually amazing. That is definitely what makes this worth it. I wish I remembered her name.
Stopped in recently to have a quick bite with my buddy on a brutally cold night and since I had not been in this place for quite some time I was agreeable to this as our option. On the night we dropped in, it was not crowded at all. The hostess started walking us to a table despite my asking for one of the booths since they were more spacious and instead my friend and I found ourselves at a small cramped table way in the back of the restaurant as if we were diners who needed to be clandestine. After ordering a beer I told the waitress that we were moving over to one of the five empty booths which we did.
Dining wise my friend and I both had the sampler platter which was a little bit of everything and quite tasty. We had another server who was also friendly and made sure we didn't need anything else as we dined. I decided to take half of my dish home since I was not as hungry as I thought I was. I used to love this place years ago as it was nice for simple dates or a better option than fast food with the buddies and since my dish was an assortment of appetizer provisions I can say that this was fine and dandy. I would like to return and see how the pizza is since that is what it was originally known for.
I've seen mixed Yelps about this place posted but my own experience that night was not bad at all so I give it a thumbs up. Its worth a try and if you don't like it you sure have enough options in Bay Ridge to try the next time around.
I bookmarked Uno's a few months ago when I started my rotation at an institution nearby but never had a chance to try it out until today when I returned to the area! The interior is pretty cool (sort of like a bar) but the waiters were only average. My friend and I walked in and they didn't really acknowledge our presences. However, the server that we got later was very friendly.
I decided to get the lunch special which included the deep dish pizza of the day and unlimited soup for $8.99 which I found reasonable. For the soups, you get an unlimited number of bowls of any of the soups that are available that day. I got broccoli cheddar and thought it was really good. The pizza of the day was the Numero Uno deep dish pizza which I found to be average. It was huge and I was only able to finish half of it and had to bring the rest of it home. There was nothing really spectacular about it but I did like that they use fresh tomatoes as toppings instead of canned tomatoes.
Uno's doesn't seem to have that good of reviews on yelp but I found it to be ok. Definitely check it out if you're in the area and are craving pizza!
PS. A class of elementary schools kids came to the restaurant which made me very nostalgic of when I was in elementary school and went on school trips :')
I came here for a chilled out friday girls night out. I got the skinny margarita with salt for 180 calories and i was not dissapointed it still had a good amount of alcohol in it. We ordered mozarella sticks which was a large portioned appetizer, they have the 2 for 12 deal but the portions we were warned were kids size so its literally you getting what you pay for. So instead you can just get an individual pizza and add a salad for three bucks and u can customize the crust to ne regular or 9 grain. I got the chicago classic and i was very pleased it was so large that k could only eat half. It has fresh diced tomatoes with plenty of cheese and sausage. I think what i was happy with the most was the service the waitress was super friendly with a great sense of humor i would definetly go back again!
I decided to have lunch here yesterday, its been awhile since I have eaten here and will probably be awhile before I come again…..
Good:
the service was good
It was relatively quiet inside
Nick jr was on, they have coloring paper and crayons for kids
They gave fathers a mug for Father's Day
Bad:
Food itself; I had a burger and fríes… Neither were very good and I'm not hard to please when it comes to that. Also, I had a slice of my daughters pizza and didn't care for that either.
Ugly:
They allow kids to make pizza, they provide the dough, sauce and cheese… This was a positive feature, but they gave me someone else's and I actually didn't notice but my three year old did.. As I'm cutting it, the server comes and takes it from me but I had my hands on the crust and I guess went to its rightful owner. I felt like I was in the Geico commerical "You have to be quicker than that". I would think they would just let her have it since she saw me clearly about to cut the pizza and I sure as hell wouldn't want pizza that someone else touched.
In sum, the place is good for family outings, but I did not enjoy the food and will give it some time before my next visit.
I feel like there only good for the bar an there dessert menu. Everything else sucks, all taste like it just came out of the freezer an flopped onto a plate. There snack hour is good to just snack an pick. Not to bad.
Servers are okay some of them been there so long that there spark isn't so happy an helpful. I used to come often bc it was my kids fav spot to snack hang an watch tv while they ate pizza an pigged out on the brownie bowls but after a few sittings I just didn't feel it with the service. I'd recommend to definitely try it.
I am in pizza & pasta HEAVEN!!! Perfect pizza AND CRUST for that matter. You know how the crust of a chicken pot pie tastes? It's like that…you can get full really quick eating the crust alone. The serving of sauce and tomato was chunky…yeaaahhh baby!! Woo hoo!! The only thing that made me mad was I got full so quick lol, but that is nothing to complain about.
I initially ordered online but I was too far for delivery so I decided to call in and order carry out. The person who took my order seemed very nice and she was thorough too. When I arrived the food was ready and she was even nicer in person. The restaurant seemed like a really cozy atmosphere because of the furniture and lighting.
I ended up with plenty of leftovers which I had already sampled one bite of before getting full. I am very pleased with my experience and certainly wouldn't mind coming back. I also liked that the menu was progressive including so many healthier options..I was able to order eggplant, and I saw that I could have added spinach and/or broccoli if I wanted. Glad to know my family will be able to enjoy the delight of our order for one more day.
This was our first visit at Uno Pizzeria and Grill. My son wanted Denny's but I persuaded him to try Uno first lol.
We were seated within three minutes of entering the business which is absolutely amazing. Our server Sara arrived quickly to service us and take our order.
My son absolutely LOVES mozzarella sticks so figuring out what he wants to order for appetizer is a no-brainer lol. I chose to order the pretzel sticks which is one of my favorite appetizers. We ordered lemonade which came with two additional choices either mango or raspberry which we both decided on the raspberry lemonade. Added bonus: unlimited refills come with lemonade
My son chose the pepperoni flatbread as his entree which was really good. He took the leftover food home and reheated it the next day and said that it tasted even better than the previous day. I decided to try the 2 for $12 deals which consisted of choosing two entrees at a lower price. I chose the ziti with sausage and the pepperoni pan pizza. Oh my goodness, my food was so good. My pizza was really good and the crust was just right. My pasta dish was also excellent……very tasty.
My son and I enjoyed our first dining experience here at Uno and we will definitely be back again.
