  1. This place is a Chinese restaurant only by definition – they have chairs and tables and waiter service. The food however is standard stuff you would find in any hole in the wall Chinese takeout. This is an okay place to get your run of the mill General Tso's chicken and sweet and sour chicken, but not a place to go for authentic Chinese food.

  2. great sushi!  friendly people! cheap cheap cheap! cheese wontons!

  3. Nothing like watching a huge cockroach scurry across the floor while you are eating. Staff squashed it by stepping on it – then left it there!

Yeah…..needless to say we lost our appetites and left there in a hurry!

  4. Unfortunately, I did not have a great experience when ordering delivery.

My girlfriend and I decided to try this restaurant for the first time last week.  We were in the mood for getting Chinese food delivered after a long day at work.  Their menu had a large variety of options, including traditional Chinese and Japanese appetizers, soups, and entrees.  The delivery was timely and accurate.

We started with pork dumplings and two pieces of complimentary BBQ pineapple chicken (note – the complimentary appetizer was a promotion on GrubHub).  My girlfriend enjoyed the pork dumplings, while I thought they were of average quality.  We were not a fan of the BBQ pineapple chicken.

I ordered the General Tso's Chicken Special, which was listed under the "Chef's Chinese Specialties" section of the menu.  This included a sizeable portion of chicken and a side of white rice for $12.95.  While the quantity of food was good, I found the quality to be below average compared to other like restaurants in the area.

It could have been an off night considering this was our first try, but I hope to have a better experience if ordering again in the future.

  5. A lot of people mentioned fast delivery but it was kind of average. I live 2 and 1/2 blocks from here and it took about 35 minutes to get here. I had the Bean Curd with Spicy Pepper Sauce and Peanuts. It was overall satisfying Chinese food. The portion was huge. I remembered why I usually don't get Chinese food, the portions are so big I'm tired of eating the same thing by the time I'm half way through.

  6. I never learn my lesson. I need to read yelp reviews before ordering ANYTHING from grubhub.

Before I ordered from uptown cottage I was only a little hungry and just wanted something light. I ordered steamed dumplings and a sweet potato roll. Shortly afterwards I got a text message, stating my order will arrrive by 7:50pm. Only then did I decide to read the reviews. Horrible. Inedible food, bad service,  late deliveries. I was so happy I didn't use my debit card.

After 40 mins I finally have up and got a pizza but that was after I tried calling  their establishement only to have it not work.  One hour later the delivery guy showed up and he didn't speak or understand English.  I tried telling him to forget it because the food was an hour late. He didn't understand so he called someone on his phone said some mumbo jumbo and walked away.

  7. Lunch special was pretty awesome, $6.75 for a generous bowl of flavorful vegetable fried rice, your choice of soup, and my prawn and broccoli entree. I was pretty stuffed when I finished. The entree was good, pretty standard, but I was seriously hungry after a day of walking…that made the difference between good and delicious. The two wontons in the soup weren't that great though, the skin was too thick and there was barely any filling. My friend got the miso soup which was generous with the tofu and seaweed. We had good service though, the tea was free, and our server brought us some pineapple chunks for dessert! 4 stars for the value and the freebies. Oh, and the white pepper at the table! I love white pepper in my soup!

  8. Stopped by for a quick bite to eat because we were in the area and only had 30 min to eat.

The service was not too friendly but it was very fast (which was exactly what we needed).

I ordered a black tea bubble tea with milk and my boyfriend ordered the green tea bubble tea – was good. I ordered an eel and avocado roll (pretty standard, pretty good) and my boyfriend ordered panfried noodles with chicken. The sauce with the noodles had a weird chunky consistency, looked as if it hadn't been warmed up enough.

Overall, the meal was pretty standard for Chinese/sushi.
