I can't believe I actually remember this late night trip. I don't even want to admit the story of me falling into a rack of peanuts and completely knocking it down, I swear it was my shoes. Anyway, what I do remember is this place had a GINORMOUS menu and is open 24/7. Chaching.
I also remember the gyro I ordered took forever (or that could have been the shame and embarrassment I was feeling lasting an eternity), it lacked authenticity and the amazing flavors that a gyro should possess and it was beyond messy since the pita wasn't doing it's job; probably because it was a wee bit stale. The gyro was more cheesesteak like and less gyro like (minus the cheese).
With that, I need to try some more food (i.e. sandwiches, burgers, fries) from this place at 2 AM to update this review. I just don't know if I can show my face in there and not die of the horror show that was I.
*** The owner/ guy at the front was BEYOND sweet and nice. If you/he is reading this, thank you.
Nice spot for a quick breakfast platter (eggs etc.) if you are in the area for work etc. Not the fastest out there but got a good selection of ingredients from meats to veggies.
They're also open late and conveniently close to the Grove St PATH if you need that late night sandwich/a cure for the munches. I'd hit up A Plus deli on Grove St for a better sandwich though, but here for grill items.
I wasn't quite sure what to decipher from the name of the place…hmmm Vegas Grill…I still don't really get it. Anyways, the place is a smorgasbord of random basic culinary cuisines such as gyros, pizza, burgers, wings, chicken, etc. They also have some basic food items for sale and a deli counter ; ) I opted for the gyro which I assumed you couldn't mess up until they proceeded to wrap it like a burrito and cut it in half. It might just be me but that is an odd way to serve a gyro. I'll give you 3 starts for effort and potential since your open 24 hours.
