  1. wow, was I surprised. this restaurant is in a very unnoticeable strip mall, next to my favorite Thai restaurant, Thai Elephant. I assumed that it would be all fried fish, or that it wouldn't be fresh. WRONG. I stopped by today and had a really delicious and fresh seafood (shrimp and calamari) salad and it was great! the interior is spotless, the staff is friendly, and the menu has some nice choices. prices were very good, also. and there is parking. I'm sorry it took me so long to try it, but I definitely will be back!

  2. Really pleasant surprise. Found this via Yelp and popped in around 3 on a Saturday. They gave us a lunch menu but I asked and we were able to order from the dinner menu as well. The restaurant is rather small and casual as they have a deli counter but we saw them set up for dinner and they put out white tablecloths.

The food was mostly good. Came here with my parents and we are all fans of seafood. Menu has a lot of options. The New England Clam Chowder was delicious (it wasn't listed on the menu but they have it). I ordered the teriyaki swordfish and I have to say – the sauce was too salty (and I like salty food). Maybe it was a fluke (FISH REFERENCE, GET IT!?) or maybe they just need to figure out their seasonings since they are relatively new. My dad's halibut with honey was really good though. The presentation was nice too – shows attention to detail. Oh and they give you warm bread with marinara sauce and butter.

The service was fantastic – super friendly and attentive.

This place is tucked away, in a plaza next door to Krauszer's. I definitely recommend checking this restaurant out if you are a seafood fan.

  3. Everyone in my family has been here and I finally made it. I had high expectations because they all loved it and gave it nothing but high praise. They were right!
Their signature soup is incredible! You can tell that the stock was simmered for hours. It had that rich shellfish taste that you want. Loaded with large clams and mussels!  The fried calamari appetizer was perfect. Crispy breading on the outside and very tender on the inside.
I had the shrimp and mushroom risotto with truffle oil special. It was hands down one of the best risottos I've ever had! (see pic) The rice was cooked perfectly. I've eaten at high end Italian restaurants in NYC who have botched it up. If you like your pasta al dente (firm) you have to ask. Not a big deal and not uncommon for a non Italian Restaurant. (Pasta should NEVER be served mushy) They also have gluten free items for those with gluten allergies.
The wait staff couldn't be nicer. Always smiling and always there for whatever you need. It's a BYO and they provided an ice bucket for our Prosecco. It was a perfect pairing for all of the seafood. A Pinot Grigio would have done nicely as well. I had the warm apple cobbler with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for dessert. One of my favorites and it was great! Everything was delicious!
I liked that one of the owners who is also their pastry chef came out to check on our table towards the end of our meal. I really do appreciate when they do that. Restaurants should all do that if possible. It's the best way to get input directly from your customers. Naturally I complimented and thanked him for a delicious meal from start to finish.
    I'll definitely be back!

  4. Ordered some lunch today. Got the carrot and ginger soup with a half pound of shrimp salad. The soup was really good. It was a smooth, creamy soup that was easy for me to eat. I had been sick for a few days and wanted a soup of some sort.

The shrimp salad was pretty good. The shrimp are a really nice size. I ordered it to go and seasoned mine with pepper and dill when I got it home and ate it on toast. It was great.

    Will come back again soon
