Please support local family businesses! This is a real gem for Little Ferry and it would be a shame to see it go.
Everything was awesome on a Cinco de Mayo night. I have been to Mexican restaurants before on Cinco de Mayo and it has always been a fail.
First, they allowed us to make a reservation for a large group and held it for us on the busiest night for most Mexican places. Service was a bit slow but they are new and had a crowd going so obviously I am gonna oversee this and hope they will get the flow going in upcoming months. The older lady who is there is so loving and sweet and took good care of our birthday girl with a monstrous chocolate cake with ice cream.
Complimentary fried tortilla chips and pico de gallo was really good. Our entrees came out piping hot (love this) and in abundant portions. Prices are also very reasonable.
Thanks Yelp friends for writing reviews and putting this place on the map!

Fresh from our Playa del Carmen trip, missing the sun, and nostalgic for authentic Mexican cuisine, the lights of Victoria's Mexican American Grill drew us in. We were warmly greeted by a nice woman (could it have been Victoria herself?!?) who invited us to sit wherever we'd like.
Complimentary housemade chips (warm and fresh), were presented to us with a little pico de gallo while we scanned the menu.
Shrimp and grits – holy snikees. Bob and I were trying to be polite while we shared this dish, but it became clear that we both loved it and we both wanted to devour more than the other person. To say that the plate was clean when we were finished is an understatement. These grits were not of the instant variety, my friends!
Tacos – four to an order and a good size. You have several protein choices and you can mix your order up. I went with the Al Pastore and it was sensational. The little chunks of pineapple gave this dish a savory and sweet touch.
Flautas – he was digging on this dish. Four to an order with several protein choices (he chose chicken). This made me smile because he ordered chicken flautas on the night we met…awwwww!
The best part was that we had food leftover for lunch the next day. I love that! And for $36 you cannot go wrong.
New Jersey is not known for its authentic Mexican cuisine, but this place was straight-up legit. We had been dining like champs in Mexico in non-tourist areas and we quickly learned what Mexican specialties are supposed to taste like.
Give Little Ferry some love and give Victoria's a whirl!
Some trivia: Since Hurricane Sandy ruined Il Chingale Italian restaurant, this is at least the 4th restaurant that has occupied this space.
I've driven by more times than I can count, through all the different businesses which have been here, they've all been good, yet for some reason they all crash and burn.
My barber told me Victoria's is really good, so we decided to give a try.
We walked in on a Wednesday evening and sadly there was no other diners there. Thankfully, a few more people showed after us. We were immediately greeted by a sweet older woman who seated us and gave us menus. She then brought over a dry-erase board w/ some specials.
For appetizers we ordered chips and guacamole, maduros w Mexican cheese and sour cream. For entrees, my wife ordered chicken tostadas and I, the Special, camarones (shrimp) Mexicano.
She quickly came out with a big dish of tortilla chips and guac. The chips were freshly made, crispy and lightly salted the guac was made w fresh avocados, lime, cilantro, onion and just the right amount of jalapeño, this is, HANDS DOWN, THE BEST GUACAMOLE AND CHIPS I'VE EVER HAD. Simple and fresh.
Next, the maduro w/ cheese and sour cream. They came out super hot, the maduro were soft and buttery, the cheese offered and nice taste and the sour cream a nice contrast to the flavors, this too was DELICIOUS.
After the apps we were already full but we were faced w two delicious looking entrees. My wife's tostadas were big, colorful and full of chicken.i had a big mountain of small shrimp and onions in a red sauce, a mountain of yellow rice and a mountain of mixed salad w avocado.
No complaints w/ anything, everything was fresh and tasty and all for $34.
What a great meal, we look forward to returning and trying other dishes.
If I have any complaints, they need to make it more of a Mexican restaraunt, the decor is blue and grey. It needs some MEXICAN FLAVOR….
Great place. Give it a try.
Oh and BYOB!!!!!
Just moved to the area and i love exploring what's around me for food. Came across Victoria's s so my friends and I decided to have dinner one night there. They have a great variety of authentic Mexican dishes. Everything sounded so good. It's nice to come across homemade authentic ethnic food in small towns.
Our order consisted of the maduro with queso and crema, rib eye steak with mashed potatoes and veggies, pulled pork with rice and beans, and chicken flautas. Everything was super delicious, especially loved the tomatillo sauce on my flautas. And the maduro with cheese and cream were very interesting. I want to go back and taste some other yummy dishes.
Not expensive, clean place, friendly service, and BYOB!!! Street parking.
