Place looks new and modern. Came on a Sunday and this place was sooooo empty. The location is so random, but there's a free shuttle bus that runs about every 30 minutes from the hotel to main street flushing. The View de point is located on the 4th Floor of the hotel's rooftop.
Too bad there was too much fog and cloud on a rainy day, but the view would've been nice. I could only see the lights from Citi-field through the rainy fog. There was space for seating outdoors, however due to rain and fog, only the indoor seating was set up.
Staff is very helpful and attentive.
There was a choice of a course meal during dinner. It was more like two course charging $25 per person. You get a choice of appetizer and main, and coffee or tea with your meal. I guess they don't really specialize in desserts which was why it wasn't a THREE course meal. If you look at the menu, they offer Lady M cakes, I'm pretty sure they don't make these on site, but they get it from a third party.
Ordered salad while my significant other ordered the soup. When the soup came, I couldn't tell if they used a can of Campbell's cream of mushroom and dumped some of their own herbs and ingredients in, but it tasted almost too can like..Not bad not good, but it was alright.. Salad was just normal baby spinach and some kind of balsamic reduction dressing.
Main course was a rib eye steak and grilled chicken. I must say the rib eye was pretty good. It was moist and had plenty of sauce, but there was a lot of fat around the meat. The fries that came with the steak, I would not be surprised if it came from the Ore-ida fries that I usually get from the supermarket.
Grilled chicken dish..three piece of chicken stacked on top of each other. Some of it was dry and some of it was moist, but the sauce next to the chicken made up for part of it's dryness. It was almost tasteless without the sauce.
Come here for the view, but you can try to skip the food. It's not worth the $25. If you got cash to burn, this would be a neat spot to take a date on. It's quiet, peaceful, and nice views when the skies are clear.
