  1. So here it is, eh? Yelp finally has added on this business. Well, my experiences and memories with this Villa Pizza go way back to when they first opened this location in the Port Authority Bus Terminal here in 1999. From one of employees telling me off for being a stupid fresh-mouth kid back when I was 10 or so to several years later when my mom and I reprimanded the manager of the place for throwing out an old lady who simply wanted to sit down and rest her leg, my memories here are many. I've seen employees come and go as well as the place redesign itself, adding on additional dining space as well as computers for paid internet use which is great for people who don't have computers and smartphones though I've never used them. I've come here upon arrival from New Jersey on the bus for a bite to eat and sometimes again coming home before getting the bus for many years.

Unfortunately, as you see, my review only gives them two stars. This is because in spite of many memories here and good eating, the place is horribly mismanaged. I'm not sure if the same manager who my mom yelled at for treating that old woman so badly is still there but I recognize him and he's been there for a very long time. Employees are not very bright and there is an air of tension in the atmosphere in the way that they operate. This is coming from what I've experienced. I also suspect that this manager is not the nicest person even though he is pleasant enough on the outside. My review also is for two stars because of how horribly overpriced the food is. It's decent enough food. But it costs entirely too much. Definitely not worth the price. Even the drinks are above what they should be. One of my memories here was overhearing a woman say to the cashier that she would not pay for her salad and drink because it  was so overpriced. She then gave it back and left. Just goes to show.. I will keep coming back unless things go really badly but my review will stay at what it is until their management changes and they "reinvent" themselves when it comes to what they charge.

  2. The pizza is bad but it is NOTHING in comparison to the horror that is the pasta.  Run away.

While choking down a bowl of "baked ziti" I began to imagine what this place would mean to me in an apocalyptic scenario.  Would I be so thankful for the caloric intake that I might then truly appreciate these bites?  Nope.  And not just because I carry a couple things of dehydrated mac and cheese around with me (I am mostly that kind of crazy).  I should have just asked for a cup of hot water – my dehydrated food would have been like eating a 5 star meal in comparison.

It was the consistency of baby food.  No amount of Romano cheese was going to fix it.

    Eat your own hand first.

  3. Terrible pizza. The only time I come here is while drunk and I still should know better. Overpriced, foul tasting, poor value. The only saving grace is that you can eat it as you walk to your gate for the bus. No matter how tasty it looks from the outside – skip this one and eat anything else instead.

  4. Wow. The food taste worse than a college dorm food!!!  I didn't think it could be possible but Villa managed to unpleasantly surprise me. We came here after a late flight in from California. Nothing area our hotel was open so my coworker took us to this place instead of the deli. Smack in the middle of Port Authority among Duane Reade and Radio Shack, I knew this was going to be one of those experiences you'd sooner like to forget. The cafeteria stuck food under the heat lamp should have given us the warning necessarily to run for the next exit but I was amongst coworkers so I didn't want to appear high maintenance. The chicken tasted like chicken jerky. The mash taste straight out of the microwave with loads of fake butter on top and the Caesar salad was worse than store bought. I would avoid this place like the plague. And to add insult to injury, it was about $15 per person!!!!!
