This is a great little wine bar near Gate 38 in Terminal 8 in JFK Airport. I needed lunch before flying to DC, and so I checked this place out. The lady working the wine bar was great, and gave me amazing recommendations for my burrata. This very fresh and smooth white wine just went well with it!
They have free WiFi, just make sure to ask the password. I know that airport food is a little expensive, but this one is definitely worth it. They even do some wine tasting so check that out in case that's your thing.
It's a nice place to hang out waiting for your flight. The cheese plates are solid — the other food is kind of hit or miss. It's better than most airport garbage but maybe not as good as what you are paying for it. Today I had a salad with "roasted chicken" — I'm not so sure about that. It was chicken, probably roasted at one point and then popped in the microwave. It was meh.
That said, the wine is stellar. There are cushy seats and outlets galore. It's a nice oasis while traveling just stick to the cheese plates and of course, the wine.
Easy place to have a glass of wine before your flight. Did not try the food options but they seem to be OK, maybe a little overpriced. The wines have a description for each glass which is nice.
Fast service and good food. Their signature salmon dish is great, but the sandwiches are mediocre, but it's probably the best you got in terminal 8.
