Vivi Bubble Tea
“In the food wasteland that is FiDi, it's nice having this little bubble tea shop right near my gf's apartment.”
“but they do have a "Buy 5 get 1 free" reward card, limited to just Vivi's John Street location.”
“It is one of the only bubble tea places that I have seen to accept credit cards (almost always they are cash only).”

Perfect little bubble / boba tea spot. Exactly what we were looking for tucked into the financial district and on the way on our walk down to the World Trade Center.
A ton of bubble tea options – just what you expect from regular teas to fruit teas and also smoothies. Quick service super friendly and lots of options including different levels of sweetness and boba.
Great environment and even enjoyed the J pop tunes and cartoon character pillows. Super small, so not really any room for sitting. Just grab and go and enjoy your boba tea.
This gorgeous day in the city brought me to Vivi's today. I have been wanting to try this place out for a while and today was the perfect day. I ordered a taro milk tea with pearls. It was perfect, the bubbles were great, the taste was as the other taro teas I have had. They also have a punch bard, buy 6 get 1 free. Awesome!
I wish I had read previous reviews and asked for my drink to be with no sugar..good to know for next time because I know I will be back soon!
Smack in Fidi.
After doing some numbers crunching and having my ego compared using excel spread sheets, I get thirsty.
Can walk over to the bar to get some Alcohol, but bubble tea will make me feel like I'm back in high school. Back when I dont have adult duties and roles, just drinking some sweet tea with chewy tapioca balls.
Passion fruit tea with jelly is my cup of choice. Sweet, tangy, crisp.
Back to the pit I go…
Similar to its other locations, this Vivi also has an extensive menu. There really isn't much sitting space, so consider this more as a quick break from the office as opposed to a location for a coffee chat. I am a big fan of the 3Q bubble tea, which has three different types of toppings and isn't too overly sweet for me. The staff here are also super efficient so don't fear if you see a line.
Vivi is super close to Wall Street, the NY stock exchange and the famous bull statue. Obviously, while we were sightseeing, we got pretty thirsty and vivi looked like a great choice for a liquid pick me up. There is only a small bench inside to enjoy your desired beverage, however, so be prepared to have your boba drink on the go.
I recommend the fruity teas over the milk teas. There is also a large variety of fruit flavors. I tried the passion fruit lemonade and mango tea. Both of which were delicious. The boba was nice and soft, yet still chewy and the lychee jelly was good as always (I've never had bad lychee jelly….).
There are a lot of pictures of drinks on the windows and tv screens. It seemed a little overwhelming and I wasn't sure if some of them were limited time/ seasonal specials or if they had all of them all the time.
The baristas and cashier weren't very friendly, but eh, I didn't expect much from places in NY tbh. They do offer a stamp card though!
PROS:
– You can get your free drink faster than most bubble tea places. It's buy 5 and get 1 free. It's only for this location though.
– I really like their star jellies. Those are so good.
– You can adjust level of sweetness.
– I recommend the regular bubble tea, grapefruit pulp tea, and mango flavored tea/slush with star jellies.
CONS:
– This Vivi location is smaller than their Chinatown locations.
– The drinks here are a little pricier than Chinatown but its expected since its FiDi.
– There isn't really space to sit. It's more of a buy and go kind of place.
FiDi can intake Tapioca pearls or jelly for Taiwanese bubble tea. This NYC Financial District (FiDi) location is a tiny indoor kiosk with very minimal seating as it is designed for takeout only. Nevertheless it gets the job done for my default choice Mango Green Tea and rehydrates my inner spirit. Freshly prepared. Jelly is an additional $.50. I prefer jelly rather than the black Tapioca pearls, less chewy and less effort to chew when swallowing. Price is reasonable for medium size drink.
ViVi is a typical chain bubble tea place. It has good drinks but nothing special. However, this spot gives free tapioca with your drink purchase. Stamp cards are available.
There isn't much space at this location. It's awkward lining up outside the store during peak hours.
