Wafels & Dinges
“Warm, scrumptious waffles topped with spekuloos spread aka heaven in my mouth is why I stalk these trucks on twitter.”
“The $6.50 "wake up, grumpy"– a wafely-biscuity hybrid stuffed with an egg, cheese some syrup and bacon- was also good.”
“I had a living social deal so it came with 2 entrees, 2 drinks and 2 one-scoop ice cream cones/cups.”

Hmmmm…Where should I begin, perhaps for others it's just waffle, for me it's more than a waffle. It's a craft that you will need to master by doing it over and over again.
This is what the guys at w&d are doing, the sweet and the savory waffles were both amazing. My favorite was to use the savory waffles with ice cream because it's crispier and fluffier.
The service was amazing, they were all so friendly and accomodating.
A must try place if you happen to be in East Village.
This place is way overrated in my opinion. The waffles are too sweet and greasy and have an unpleasant, chewy texture. They over do it with the cookie butter which makes the whole thing basically taste like diabetes in your mouth. Needless to say, we will not be returning to this proprietor of waffles.
Waffles! Need I say more?
Me and my friend decided to share a waffle before having dinner. We ordered the de Liegel Waffle with strawberries, bananas and speculoos. It was DELICIOUS. OH MY GOODNESS. My words do not justify how good it tasted. You need to get your buttocks here and try this darn delicious place.
Cute spot with a lovely midday vibe. Had a wafel atop eggs that were baked in a cast-iron pot, accompanied by a tasty arugala salad. Had to get more syrup for the wafel and while i was happy that the eggs were nearly cooked through, they didn't have any real seasoning. Maybe i'm weird for not wanting bland eggs? Even the syrup and the wafel on top didn't make it too much better.
Nonetheless, service was good, spirited and attentive; and the mimosa I had with my meal provided for a good finish.
Wafel and Dinges definitely has some sort of hype crew shouting cheers and adoration for these waffles, so of course I tried it. I was expecting to be giving the world through just one bite, but sadly I was let down. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing. Frankly, I don't even remember what I ordered, it was that mundane. I just remember the waffle being meh and the topping was less than generous. I was sad that I forked over $4 for something that was so hard, it was hard to stick my fork in.
It is also possible that I am spoiled by my favorite OKC restaurant, Waffle Champion, and have elevated expectations on what a waffle should be. Whatever it is, I probably won't waste a meal in NYC on this food cart again.
Came here for breakfast with a friend, and I expected better. The had some sort of breakfast waffle, which consisted of hashbrowns, bacon, and maple syrup. My friend ordered a plain waffle with strawberry and whipped cream toppings.
The waffle was kinda bland and overcooked. If you are from the South, let me just say, there is no comparison with Waffle House. Moreover, aside from the dry and underwhelming waffle, it definitely cost me a pretty penny. I think I would be less disappointed had I paid less for a bad waffle.
Once upon a time, someone brought these heavenly waffles into our office space for all to enjoy. It was love at first sight, smell, and taste. I will never forget you oh beautiful waffle. Your condiments of chocolate, whipped cream, strawberries abound, there was no going back and nor did I want to. I will never forget you waffle, but you were easily one of the best in the land. I will seek more like you in the future and if you are reading this, you should do the same!! A+ all around, this place creates sweetness your palate will remember for a lifetime and do back-flips all the way home. Yahoo!
I've visited this location multiple times and I always loved the savory and sweet wafels here! The speckuloos ice cream is to die for and their salmon wafel is amazing. However, each time I come regardless of the day, time and number of guests, service is always slow. Today in particular, I stood at the counter for at least 5 minutes before somebody acknowledged me even though we made eye contact multiple times. Plate was also sticky when i received it. Service and speed definitely needs improvement.
