  1. I'm a fan of the show so of course I wanted to check this place out when I was in the area.
My friends and I snagged a great corner table on the rooftop. We enjoyed beautiful views of the amusement park.  It was not incredibly busy at 4pm on a Monday. At least not on the rooftop yet Service was SO SLOW. Took forever to get drinks ordered and our food orders in. Our waitress Lauren was very upbeat and friendly and made recommendations when we asked. Our table ordered the Our Burger (with no special sauce), The Melt, the Double Decker, a Classic Salad with Haddock, sweet potato tater tots and fries.
I was extremely happy with my burger and the tater tots were delicious! Everyone around the table was fairly pleased with their food except that when we ordered 3 orders of fries and only two came to the table because "there weren't anymore done and the 3rd order will be up shortly" and that they also ran out of pinot grigio after my friend only had one glass. Again, i'm not sure if they were understaffed that day but if you are in a hurry to get somewhere you probably want to skip this place. Took a very long time to get food and drinks.

  2. I emailed this to two different email addresses from two different accounts and it all got bounced back to me. Tried Twitter–no answer. So now trying here.

Over the weekend, I visited the Wahlburgers in Coney Island with family visiting from Georgia. My sister-in-law watches the show all the time; she got me into watching. So we were very excited to be stopping in to eat after a day on the boardwalk.

The wait outside around 5 PM took less time than what they told us, which was fantastic. They took us into the dining area on the first floor where tables had been put together for us. There was one other group in the restaurant who already had their food.

We ordered quickly as there was no line, and then we sat and waited. We had three children with us who patiently waited as well.

We asked several times about our food order as we waited. Nothing seemed to be happening. The staff was very friendly, but still, we were hungry and thirsty.

Our food–a few burgers, a turkey burger, some mac and cheese, and fries–took 40 minutes to come out. That wait time seems rather long, especially when waiting with children after spending a day outside.

The food unfortunately was not all worth the wait. The portions were terribly small for the price range, but we could deal with that had the food been delicious. It wasn't. The burger in the Thanksgiving Day sandwich was really bland as were the Sweet Potato Tots. On the plus side, the sauce and squash on that sandwich were very good.

Overall, the experience was underwhelming, especially after planning to eat there for months as we waited for my in-laws to finally arrive. I hope that future customers have a better experience.

*Update: I messaged the business here because they asked me to, and no one ever got back to me.

  3. High-end fast food restaurant with table-service.  I happened to be in Coney Island on a cold, windy day and found refuge in this very clean looking cafeteria with the bright green signage called Wahlburgers.  I had never heard of this chain and decided to go in for a burger (the Our Burger $8) and a draft beer ($7).  It was pricey after you add in the tax & tip.  Maybe if the weather was better and I got to dine on the rooftop, then the price might be worth it.

  4. Average. Coney Island lacks good lunch spots! This spot had so much potential, but it's just average. Nice view to the boardwalk.

Got the chicken sandwich, and swapped the bread with mixed greens. Nothing special, but not bad either. It was a bit drenched in dressing.

Fountain soda was not good, tasted like chlorine.

  5. We had a 4-hour luna park wristband, after a couple hours we were starving! Saw Wahlburgers and the line outside so we were intrigued. The worst burger I have ever had in my life!!!! Don't be fooled by the long line in front of the restaurant! Once we got inside the rooftop and the inside was half empty! Not sure if they created the line on purpose to make the place seem popular but they sure fooled us. We ordered the first burger on the menu, mom's sloppy joes and a side of fries. The only savior to our horrible experience is mom's sloppy joes. Never again!

  6. As soon as we walked by Wahlburgers, I knew I wanted to eat here!! I patiently waited until the dance party at The Coney Art Walls ended and my friends and I grabbed a booth on the upper deck where we enjoyed a beautiful view of Coney Island, until it started raining!

Fortunately we were able to sit at the bar, as it wasn't too crowded and we were waited on by Laney, the bartender. She was in good spirits and friendly.  In addition to burgers, they have mac 'n cheese, tots, fries, salads, shakes, grilled cheese, and desserts. Obviously I had the mac 'n cheese. It came out of the kitchen steaming, which was perfect for the cool, rainy night. Yum! It's nothing fancy, but tasted great! My friends seemed to enjoy their burgers too.

Inside there is plenty of seating, as well as decor from the movies the Wahlbergs were in. There's an elevator for those who don't feel like climbing the stairs.

Overall, 4 stars. If they had a delicious veggie burger with excellent topping options, they could earn that extra star for me. I was very pleased about grilled cheese and mac 'n cheese on the menu. Great service, great views, great food! I'll be back!

  7. I'm honestly stuck between 3 and 4 stars.
    Wahlburgers was: Clean, Friendly, Delicious.
    however… lacked: Service.

I was starving before even crossing the Verrazano.
Figures the Belt Pkwy would be congested at 5:45pm psshhhttt.
So I decided to check Yelp to see whats in the area for a sit down dinner. Nothing too too fancy. So I found Wahlburgers which happens to be in my "Bookmarked places to go". 15min off track.. VS sitting hungry in Belt Pwky traffic.

Once there, they Greet us very quickly which was pleasant. Asking if we've ever been to Wahlburgers before, we both said "nope" the hostess had asked if we'd like to sit outdoor seating, which is located on the roof of the building. It was a nice day/night  sooo why not. We get the hostess to get a booth table near the glass wall cleaned off so we can look down at the people and car. Which was really nice of them. (Reason I was leaning more towards 4 stars)

Once sat is where we started running into trouble. The waitress came by and asked for our drink order, we had told her and off she went… however.. hadn't returned for about 10mins.. Which was ok… sorta.. My date and I were discussing food being we hadn't been there yet. When she did return we were picking her brains on what was good and what wasn't.. She didn't really help us in this department… So we were going into this blind.. She did one of those "I'll give you guys another minute!" then walks away… 10 mins later she came back and was asking if we were ready, which we had been for 9 mins. But anyway…

    We ordered:
    O.F.D.
    The Melt
    Fries
    Sweat Potato Tater Tots
    Grilled Banana Fluffanutta

The O.F.D. was delicious. Totally get a side of there sauce tho.
The Melt was ordered over a salad. With a side of avocado
The Fries okayy, weren't anything special.
The Sweat Potato Tater Tots were interesting, something completely different.
The Grilled Banana Fluffanutta was something I used to make as a kid, so this hit me in the      feels pretty good. Reminded me of childhood.

We tried to order Mac' N Cheese with Smoked Bacon.. but the waitress had to leave us go to check if they "have it" and 10 mins later she came back and told me "All out" which made me wonder.

Everything was okay like stated before. But the waiting times between placing the order, getting the food, waiting for her to come back for desert, then waiting for her to come back with the check, then waiting for her to comeback to GET the check and run my card. I'm not sure… it just took WAY to long for whatever reason. Normally I don't care to much about wait times because I consider myself laid back, but even my date was saying something about the timing of the service.

4 Stars for you Mark Wahlberg.
I'd love to say I'll be back, but truly doubt it due to the distance.

  8. The , "Our Burger " wasn't bad although I wish their signature sauce had more kick to it . P.s. this signature sauce from, "Paul" appears on 4 of their items and it wasn't even that good . The "Melt " burger wasn't bad either but I would have preferred it to be on a bun versus what appeared to be wonder bread. It just  becomes too soggy with all the butter and stuff they add to it but I can see some people liking it . I ordered the meat well done by the way and it came out perfect . It seems like the just throw the fresh veggies on the burger without cooking it and don't toast their buns which doesn't help tie in all the flavors .
Those stupid buzzer things that they gave to acknowledge my food was ready never went off . I ended up waiting a ridiculous 30 minutes for my burger while the cashier claimed she called my number . So try to be right by the order window and hope you can hear through all the noise of Coney Island on a weekend if you order for takeout .
