I'm literally obsessed.. So much so, in fact, that I booked my wedding here for next year and I'm so excited to be working with them!!! My fiancé and I went in there for a consultation for a possible booking (which we did! Yay!) and we ended up staying for dinner to get the full experience. I have to say how impressed I am for a variety of reasons:
1. Firstly, the VIEW is just spectacular.
2. The service was excellent. Our waiter was very efficient and quick.
3. The ambiance is amazing. Decor is beautifully done, love the embellishments, the floors, the colors, the modern glam feel to it…
4. The food was excellent. I had the seafood over capellini, it had huge shrimp, lobster, clams, mussels and scallops. Yummmm! Fiancé got the tomahawk steak and he said it was very flavorful and delicious. We also ordered an appetizer with cantaloupe, mozzarella and prosciutto .. It was SOOO good… Ordered after-dinner drinks too which were very good..
Overall, our experience there was excellent and I can't wait to have my wedding there!!!!!
I didn't feel like this place was my cup of tea. That is the reason for the 3 stars. Although I did enjoy my appetizer I felt this place was too pricey for the portion of food served. Obviously it's a spiffy place, so I am not surprised. The crowd was mainly older men about 45 yrs old and up, with a female crowd of ladies in their 20s. With that being said , a place for sugar daddies and young ladies who are looking for such. The drinks over priced but again it's a spiffy place by the Hudson river. Dress code I would say is dressy casual or very dressy as in please don't come here in sneakers or boots….i kind of liked that, it gave me a reason to dress up. The music the DJ was playing was very outdated like 1990s KTU tracks lol, but I did enjoy some tunes. They have a section upstairs for weddings etc, which I feel would be the reason I'd go back here if someone has a wedding . So if this sounds like your cup of tea by all means but do not expect huge portions of food or decent sized drinks. And make sure you bring lots of cash or your credit card to spend spend spend.
Came in for brunch yesterday and was a bit underwhelmed.
The food was pretty basic and there was a decent amount of options but nothing really spectacular that stands out. I enjoyed the French toast but aside from that everything was pretty mediocre. The service was even worse. Our waiter was MIA most of the time and really not too attentive to our table. I almost had to walk over to the bar to ask for our check but luckily another waiter was able to find him.
The restaurant itself is beautiful. What it lacks in food and service, it makes up with the beautiful view of the NYC skyline and ambience. Would be interested in coming back later in the day because it seems like it would have a pretty cool vibe when they have a DJ spinning.
The cost was high but you are basically paying for the chic, trendy vibe. Aside from that they have beautiful rooms with amazing views for events that we were able to check out.
Came here for brunch for Father's Day, it was ok – this the 3 stars. Our server was very attentive but it felt very cramped and the replenishment of food was ok. This is the 3rd time we celebrated Father's Day here, we will try another place next year.
My boyfriend and I came to celebrate his best friend's 23rd birthday , and I have to say I was very pleased.
Pro's: There is plenty of parking
The coat check is free
The restaurant is beautiful, with swanky chandeliers on each floor when you first enter, followed by dim lighting in the dining room with bright city lights across the water, the view is gorgeous.
We were seated right away by very friendly staff, where we didn't have to wait very long to be served drinks, they were also very knowledgeable about the items on the menu and there were plenty of top shelf items from the bar along with daily specials.
The options for food were great in terms of variety. For starters you can go with formaggi [fancy aged cheeses] or various cold cuts like spiced/ cured salami or pork, which goes great with wine.
There was also several salads ranging from avocado, greek, kale, or beets. There is also plenty of options for seafood lovers who want to try oysters, tuna, salaclams or calamari. They even had beef brisket and quail on the menu, which I don't see very often in a lot of places.
In the big plates menu I saw a lot of great options for steak, including filet mignon, porterhouse, dried aged prime steak or their classic steak. I was also happy to see various grilled and fried chicken options along with fried veal or veal chops. I also saw Italian options such as lasagna, pasta & ravioli which is great for those who aren't fans of Mediterranean food.
I decided to go with the classic steak since it was the only dish that came with fries, the other dishes had either roasted potatoes or mixed vegetables. For $32 dollars my steak was huge in portion, juicy and very tasty and it came very quick, but I wasn't crazy about the cut of the meat for such a price.
I was too full to even try dessert, but I had just enough liquor in me to tear it up on the dancefloor.
Apparently a sweet 16 was being thrown in the same room, which I found strange since something so private should be something separate, I felt like I was invading someone else's party.
Majority of the music was bachata, reggaeton and top 40 hits, I barely heard much techno or house music, but the vibe was still great… until they closed the club before 1:30 A.M.
Even though people were leaving at that hour, I was surprised that they starting kicking everyone out so early, in NYC that would be unheard of. That's probably what holds me back from giving this place 5 stars, then again things may be different in NJ.
3.5 stars here. My hubby and I came here for a wedding event. The wedding is held outdoor and the nyc view and scenery is beautiful! Indoors, the cocktail hours food was delicious ranging from seafood, meat carving station, pasta, paella, cold cuts, cheese and crackers. All was going well until they ran out of oj for my mimosas, lol. We were so full. Finally, the reception came and the party was moved upstairs. The reception hall is small so the dance door is even smaller. We weren't too thrilled with the dinner course. The salad was good. The salmon wasn't seasoned right. I'm glad we have stuffed our face during cocktail hours instead!
Parking here is valet. There is no choice. It's a club on the 1st floor with open balcony and the water view of nyc.
Came here for dinner with a friend and was pleasantly surprised. I had read reviews about rude service, but Eddie, our server, was very pleasant and took care of us. We had a few small bites: the octopus/calamari (delicious), tuna tartare (amazing), kale salad with hazelnuts and pomegranete and the bruschetta trio. I was really happy and really stuffed after these choices. Drinks were well made. The only thing that struck me as strange is that you cannot run a tab at the bar … you need to pay for each round of drinks. This leads me to believe that people tend to skate the check at the bar?
Ambience was fun in the beginning with great older music … i.e., disco, Michael Jackson, etc. But later in the evening, the music turns Latin and I saw a few people dancing in the inside bar area. We were seated right by the walkway … the view is breathtaking and the atmosphere is festive. I would come back here again.
Went to a Vue Magazine private event here last night and was more than impressed. Not sure about you but I'm always looking for new outdoor venues to eat and drink. While I have several favorite spots, none compares to this.
One of the really cool things about it is that there's an unobstructed view of Manhattan from just about every window. Even if it's cold or the weather's uncooperative, you still have that great visual ambience. As for the outside, the area is laid out spaciously and comfortably with couches and tables. Well placed fire lamps are also thoughtfully arranged so you can be outside and still be warm. Decor is upscale and visually appealing with a decidedly hip NY vibe.
Food and drink were both outstanding. Service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. It's rare where I go someone new and almost instantly realize that they'll be put in my regular rotation. Up until last night, my chosen outdoor venue was McLoone's for Spring and Summer. That's no longer the case. With superior views, more comfortable surroundings, food and drink to match, I can honestly say that I'll be a regular here. Kudos and thanks for the first of many great evenings. 5 Stars.
