  1. This place is pretty good. I had their specialty burger it was good, for the price it should come with fries or something, they even do their own chips which probably cost them next to nothing to get a handful of. They should give you some plain ones and just charge you to put toppings on them.

The people here are really nice and the food is pretty good. If you haven't stopped here you should give it a shot.

  2. My boyfriend and I came in here for lunch on Saturday. We pass this place all the time and finally decided to stop in.

I like the 50s style vibe they're trying to play with. The menu is simple enough: burgers or dogs. Milkshakes or soda.

I ordered the double burger with bacon and cheese and I was surprised. I'm not really sure what I was expecting but this burger absolutely hit the spot. It was juicy and delicious. The fries were well seasoned and cooked to perfection.

    I'd absolutely come here again.

  3. The Story: Came here for dinner with the Boyfriend after booze shopping at costco for Thanksgiving!

Food: I ordered the wayback burger with pickles and tomato. And I actually really enjoyed it. The bun isn't overly fancy but not subpar either. The burgers were perfectly juicy. That is what I like… I simple burger.. none of that overly complicated fancy burgers or fast food burgers. We also got the chilli fries – they were subpar.

Price: We spent about $30 for 2 people because my boyfriend got a specialty burger.

Decor: There wasn't much to look at except the big sign of the 8 patty burger.

    Service: Quick and efficient.

Parking & Finding the Place: on Route 46 West – located next to the Starbucks.

Additional Thoughts: I would definately come back here.

  4. What a welcomed addition to the neighborhood!  Here's what we had:

"Very Veggie Burger" – comes with lettuce, cucumbers, sweet peppers, tomato, and honey mustard. All things I would have added anyway but you can add (or remove) anything you like. The veggie burger itself is akin to a Gardenburger, which is what I like. The bun was thick, soft, and fresh. Great texture thanks to the sassy toppings…highly satisfying.

"The Double Bacon Jake" – 4 slices of bacon, American cheese, lettuce, pickles, and tomato. The Irishman really liked this. He said the bacon was "perfect". He's not easily wowed by burgers, but his eyebrows shot up after his first bite and he did that head-nod thing that a satisfied man does. Right on.

Fries were great but the onion rings were where I fell in love. The batter was a bit thicker (almost like tempura) and I loved every blazing-hot second of it. Literally. They were blazing hot.

Friendly/helpful staff, clean, and ample parking. Jim loved the oldies music. I had never heard any of those songs in my life but he knew them from his parents and he was singing along. Another sign of a satisfied man.

    We'll be back…oh yeah…we'll be back (is that a 50's song?)

  5. JWB is a very welcomed addition to the neighborhood indeed. My Wife and i ventured in to JWB last week. We read some of the Yelp reviews prior and felt we should give it a whirl. I ordered a double w/ bacon and cheese let, tom & mayo. My Wife a single w/ cheese and we ordered chili cheese fries to share and 2 sodas. The bill was about $21.00 which was fair. As we were filling our cups w/ soda at the fountain, i turned and glanced at the grill only to see fresh chopped meat being taken out and put on the grill…….WHAT? Freshly made food still exists??? Who knew? In any event, about 10 min later our food was served, everything was tasty and enjoyable, no complaints there, atmosphere and service as well, no complaints.

If I have any complaint, it's a mild one, it was later in the day on Sunday, it was slow, we were the only customers, after we were served, all the workers (3 I believe) congregated around one of the tables and were talking loud and being a bit on the immature side. If I was there w/ my 10 yr old i would've requested they quiet down a bit. I really wasn't overly bothered by it but it was a bit inappropriate and they should have known better.

After finishing our meal, my wife and I shared a black & white and banana shake that was pretty damn good as well.

Go and give them a try, i'm looking fwd to heading back.

  6. I had my first Jake's Wayback burger experience approximately two weeks ago. I found the burgers to be of excellent quality for the price we paid.  The burger is certainly a step up from your average fast food joint at nearly the same price point.

One interesting thing I noticed on the menu was something that they called the "triple triple burger" I found myself drawn to this burger but could not muster the courage to order it… Maybe sometime in the future just for fun.

Four stars for a quality, cheap, fast food burger.  Do not compare them to Zin Burger, Bobbys etc. as they belong to a different burger category.

    Jake's Wayback Burgers – I'll be back.
