  1. Uuuuuuhm ok…. I've had Korean wings in the Wall Street area in the city that tasted waaaaaay better than what I had at this Resto.

So many people raved about the wings… but it only fried wings with the a touch of the hot sauce spreaded on top of the wings or a touch of the soy spreaded on top…. i had two orders because #1 I was hungry and #2 I wanted to see if the Soy tasted better than the hot wings…. as I mentioned before it was some of that sauce on top…. not memorable.

The Kale salad was good… but the texture of the akorn jelly in my mouth through me off… so I did not get to really enjoy that.

Lastly the anchovy fried rice…. it was pretty good but very very very spicy… thus did not get to really enjoy it…..

Overall it was just ok…. maybe I need to go back during dinner….

  2. Chose this place because they delivered and the ratings were good.  We ordered two Bimbimbap dishes, both with beef.  Upon a speedy Friday night delivery, the servings looked large but we quickly realized that there was very little beef.  My dish's beef was mostly fat (and not the good kind of fat that you would eat for flavor, just straight lard) so it was basically rice and veggies for $17.  The sauce they serve with the dish is very flavorful and delicious so ask for extra.  Overall this place was OK but I will likely try another Korean spot next time.

  3. Saturday night we walked into a pretty packed spot… which means two things: 1. The food may be that good and 2. It's gonna take forever to get a table.  The good thing was we walked in at the right time to be the 1st group on the list for a table.

We sat at the bar for drinks… The Rose of Sharon is a new fav of mine…you got your Gin, St germaine, rosemary, lime, and hibiscus…just delish. For you whiskey people get The Southie…it will put hair on your chest and you will love it. My friend order their spicy wings at the bar while we were waiting…they were so so for me but my friends thought they were good.

Sooooo this is were the hiccup of the night came. Whilst (I never get to use that word) sitting at the bar more people come in and wait for their table… I got the Hawkeye on the host/ waiter to make sure he stills sees us waiting so he won't sit another party. I don't hear my friend's name being called so I'm like we're good. 4 seconds later I see a party of three who came in after us sittng… I'm like ummm excuse me. My friend gets up before me to handle that because my tact is not that great when I'm hungry and have only had Gin in my system.  The host is  apologetic and it's genuine. The people get up but then my friend says we'll wait for the next table…now that was awesome for showing niceness but I wasn't to happy about it….but we got a free round of drinks for our pain and suffering…yay. So the customer service is awesome.

Finally we sit and we order just about everything and shared amongst 3 people… Brussels sprouts, potstickers, kimichi trio, bibimbap, short ribs, and churros. I tried everything but the potstickers (they have pork in it)…and it was ALL DELICIOUS!! I mean lick the plate delicious.

    Will I go back… I sure would!

  4. For the neighborhood, its definitely a solid Korean place. But I've had better bowls of bimbimbap in k-town in Manhattan.

  5. Had the vegan tofu sandwich here. Loved all the ingredients which were super fresh and enjoyed the salad and spiced fries, too. The ambiance is definitely hip and unique and it's nice that they serve cocktails.

They're one of the very few non-vegan brunch places that has a vegan option anywhere in Brooklyn other than in Williamsburg and Bushwick, so that's a major plus.

Only complaint is that they have a B rating and that it the tofu would have done well with a bit more seasoning and with being fried a little longer. The flavor and texture left a lot to be desired.

  6. White Tiger is a restaurant that bills itself as "contemporary Korean". I got no problem with that. I fucking love Korean food.

The house mandoo is well fried with perfectly fine filling. The spicy Ramyun however, less impressive.

For starters it had a very heavy earthy quality to its flavor. I would stop just short of saying its bad, but I can't say it was great either.

More disappointing was the clumpy ramyun I found in the bottom of my bowl. This tells me that the Ramyun was most likely pre-made and the chef didn't properly cook them before bringing it out.

Weak. Checking in at $15 for a bowl of the Ramyun, you can skip that and save yourself about $13 with a package of Nong Shim at home. It's better flavored and at the very least, won't be clumpy.
