  1. Best Whole Foods in Northern NJ: Hands down. I'm here at least twice a week. The people are friendly, the store is huge and always clean. Their hot bar is DELISH. It's so hard to walk past it and not help myself to some of that chicken tikka that smells SO GOOD. Or that Mac and Cheese. I try to stay away from the mac and cheese, but it be calling me! They even have yuca fries on occasion.

Their sushi selection is also very good and fresh. Yes, Whole Foods is expensive, but that's every Whole Foods you go to. This Whole Foods is no different in that regard. I also like that I can come here and find parking no problem. Tons of spaces and even spots close to the entrance for people with hybrids.

    My definite go-to Whole Foods!

  2. Upon repeat visits, my opinion has dropped somewhat. It still has very helpful people and great-looking, but very expensive, seafood and meat.  The hot bar has declined in quality and offers less interesting items than previously.

Given its very high prices, it has a lot of room to offer specials, but offers only a few.

It is very clean, well lit and the lines are never long.

  3. First time here , just stopped by because i was a few hundred feet away at another store so i figured I'd check out the hype .

Very big market with a great selection of fish , meats and other organic, vegan and regular groceries including produce BUUTTT cmmooonnn there's no way to justify the prices.  There's no reason why most of the groceries should be like double the price compared Trader Joe's and Fairway Market

Like i said its a very nice market but too expensive imo, i guess its nice to splurge once in a while but for someone like me (with 3 kids) i cant see shopping here too often with those prices.

  4. Friendly staff. Always busy on the weekends. Recommend you to go during the week if possible. Love the chicken and steak selection very fresh and love how they always have something new to put together and seasoned.

A little pricey but definately would recommend going there for their meat selections

  5. I usually frequent the Whole Foods in Princeton, but when they opened their Clark location, it became my new go to place.  This WF is located in Clark Commons Shopping Center which is brand new and has various stores and restaurant chains.

The parking lot is usually not too crowded unless it's the weekend. The entrance and exits are located a bit far from each other, but I guess they're trying to keep the incoming cart and people traffic organized.

When you walk through the main entrance, it leads to the fresh produce. WF is the only place where I can buy fresh Tumeric root. (It's super bitter, looks like an orange finger, but very good for you.) They offer packaged salads, prepared guacamole, tomato sauce, amongst other things. They have a great selection of fruits and vegetables. There is a coffee and juice area where I discovered their Matcha Latte! This is one of the few places where I can order fresh matcha. I love that they offer various kinds of mylk if you're not into the dairy kind. I've also ordered a green juice. Their health and beauty section offers many natural and organic brand of products. I recently saw Pacifica Beauty's new nail polish collection. So many pretty colors!

The bakery and prepared food section serves pizza, salads, soups, sandwiches, sushi, etc. The sneeze bar, er hot food section has comfort food, quinoa, salads, noodles, etc. I've been brave enough to order some meals. I usually get a scoop of mac 'n cheese, various salads, and veggies, and it cost me under $8. Their bakery goods get snatched up by the end of the evening. Get the chocolate croissant. It's only $2 and super yummy.  They have a grab 'n go section if you're just popping in for a quick lunch.

If you have the time, check out the adjacent Clark Bar. They serve local foods prepared at WF.

Everything is neat and organized. Pricing is pricey as per Whole Foods, but they do have coupons available and some of their items are on sale. It's nice that some of their items are "Local" indicated by the local sticker.   As always, read the labels, don't always assume that something is good for you because it's "vegan", "natural", or "organic".

Overall, I really like this WF location. It's more convenient for me and I can always find something to eat or drink since I'm not a huge fan of fast food. I also enjoy grocery shopping here (when I get paid of course).  It's definitely smaller in terms of selection/items offered compared to the Princeton WF. But it's awesome and one of my happy places!

Don't forget to return your cart and BYOB. (Your own bag) And they have a recycling center!!!! Bring those #5 plastics!

  6. My family has been loyal Whole Foods Market shoppers for almost 10 years. We used to make our weekly trips to the store in Vauxhall but were over the moon when they WFM opened a store close to us!

We shop here on a weekly basis, and the staff even greets my husband by name he is there THAT often. We love everything about the store, the fresh produce, the meats, the delicious bread, the amazing seafood, the abundant frozen section.. I could go on and on. So why the 3 stars not 5?

It's no surprise WFM is anything but affordable so if you can use the in store coupons, it makes that hefty bill a little less painful. I have used the in store coupons without any problems in the past but today..oh today was a different story:

I went to check out with my coupons and the cashier called the manager who explained to me that two weeks ago they had changed their cash registers and now they only permit 1 coupon per item per transaction.

So let's do basic math: a box of crackers is $6, there is a $1 off coupon. You have two of those coupons, you purchase two boxes so you pay $10 for the two boxes of crackers. I was told by the manager that for each item with its own coupon I have to do a separate transaction. So I use this coupon, complete my order then get back in line to purchase the second box of crackers with the second coupon? If that isn't the dumbest thing I have ever heard I don't know what is? It's not even like they aren't honoring a manufacturers coupon, it's their own in store coupon! I wasn't  extreme couponing, I only saved a whopping $20. Anyone who shops here regularly can attest that's nothing compared to your final bill. Actually, our family spends an average of $100 a week at WFM.

The manager was nice enough to override the computer and allow me to use some of the coupons in the single transaction. In the future I will purchase produce, seafood and meat here and for my other organic items I will give my business to Shoprite, or Vine Market..at least they honor coupons without a hassle.

  7. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS!

Its way better than the ones in NYC. I came here because I was in New Jersey doing some errands. Since I wanted to do a vegan pizza. I knew I can find the ingredients in this market. I came in on a Sunday afternoon and shockingly it wasn't crazy and customers weren't rushing like the world is going to end the next day. I came in calmly and started looking for the ingredients. I loved the fact that in the produce section. They have the organic produces next to the regular produces. I personally like that because I like the compared to two *yes this is vegan talk :-)* The store overall is very organized and even found a few products on sale! In terms of prices, Organic products are more expensive especially the vegetables and fruits. Don't expect it to be like your neighborhood supermarket and find tons and tons of sales. Not happening! But I was surprised that I found liquid soap detergent for my dishes.

    TIPS
    1. Unless you know what your exactly getting, I suggest that you take your time shopping around. You might miss out on some great things.
    2. Parking. Their is a lot of parking. You shouldn't have any problems.
    3. Customer was ok.
    4. They have my favorite almond milk "Califia Farms". You should try it!
    5. Happy Shopping 🙂

  8. Honestly, we mainly go here for the pizza. My two little ones are big fans and it really taste good. Other than that, the rest of the store is very bright, clean, and well-stocked. We might pick up a few things if we're there but we don't do a lot of shopping at Whole Foods. However, it is a great option to have and I'm happy it's so close to where we live.
