Getting here and then parking can be difficult. When it's jam packed, I would hate to be here. I'm surprised Whole Foods has NOT bought DePiero's yet. That would be an ideal location to expand. Products are great, but prices not so much
Love this W.F. location. Always parking even on weekends. Smaller selection than the Paramus location but they have a good selection. The staff is excellent. Always friendly and helpful, especially the Seafood dept. Love this store!!
It's either this or Paramus, and some days I don't feel like battling the Paramus people, so I go here to Ridgewood. This location is markedly smaller than the other one, but still has somewhat of a selection. Obviously the Paramus one being larger has more to offer.
The staff is friendly, I enjoy a lot of their seafood offerings (try the scallop and shrimp cakes if you can). The butcher has a lot of interesting sausage selections, so it's always fun to see what's new. As far as their prepared foods go, sometimes you have to remember healthy is not always good for you. You can easily get side tracked and start getting a little too much, not that that's a bad thing!
I liked this location! It is what you would expect from a Whole Foods. Staff were all courteous.
The store was very clean and shelves were well stocked.
Went to the butcher counter and asked for some chicken kabobs that were not in the case. The butcher was really nice and went and made them for me.
Checkout went smoothly and as expected.
It's a whole foods. This one has a frankly awkward design but I'll keep it at a 3 as the coffee shop staff are nice (albeit there being 30 better coffee shops in the area.) Prices are high, similar to King's Market honestly.

In general I love whole foods markets, for the healthy food and personal care items, but like most I feel they are very overpriced. I buy certain things in here, especially soap shampoo and toothpaste because I like certain healthy kinds that I can't find elsewhere. I buy some food in here, I like the meet rating system, but there's a lot of items that can be bought for much less elsewhere. So my advice with whole foods to anyone is to just be careful what you buy and ask if you could get the same thing for less elsewhere . As for the store in particular, it's convenient, but more and more lately they have stopped carrying some of the things that I went there to get. This is very unfortunate because this is the most convenient location for me. I realize that this is a smaller store, so they do not have a lot of room. but I'm going here less than I used to because they simply don't carry a lot of the things I went there for. if you can find what you're looking for here, this is a convenient location was a very friendly staff.
I've amended my review here because the store manager wrote back twice and I was impressed by his earnestness (he was prob biting his tongue tho) given the tartness of my emails to him. I always like when people respond courteously in the face of tartness. Moreover the issue of the item in question is still a bit unsettled but in fairness when I buy organic veggies and produce which are becoming a larger part of my food spend each week, I find the quality here very good and prices actually reasonable on those with a fair premium over "conventional". As a foodie, I also am finding increasingly the flavor and texture of organic products nearly always superior than conventional aside from the Health and ethical benefits (still don't buy farmed fish tho). Also may help I stay away from the organic chocolate bars as they mess up my blood sugar and detract from my customary brilliance and great attitude.
Orig text now amended to above sentiments:
I sent two emails via the store web site system regarding outrageous price jumps on a certain product. I wondered if it were a simple mistake but store management here seems it unnecessary to reply or even acknowledge the messages. Given the question about WF high prices which I thought they corrected, apparently I hit a nerve exposing a policy of sneaky increases by removing the price tags after earlier lower priced ones. ABMAs in Wyckoff a far better, far more honest and far more courteous place. Staff in this store mostly great – management not so much. This is what gives the bug name corporate stores the bad name they seem to earn so well.
I love Whole Foods. Yes, it is pricey, but the quality is high. The quality and selection of organic produce is probably second to none.
This Whole Foods is nice. I prefer Paramus because it is larger and has more offerings, but Ridgewood's is not far behind.
