A foodies paradise if you like to cook and entertain. I ventured into this location recently to look for a gift and was amazed at how much stuff they have in here. Pots, pans, cookware, table settings, linens, spices, sauces, cookbooks, cooking tools, cutlery, coffee/espresso makers, glassware, soups, etc – this place is the bomb if you have some serious coin to spend!
They also have cooking demonstrations occasionally where you can sample the finished product. Always a bonus! Location is on the small side but everything is laid out in a way that everything is easy to find. Friendly staff too. Only a block away from the 86th street subway on UES. I would say pricing is on the fair-pricey side, but overall quality of products are very good. Great place to pick out a housewarming gift.
I was surprised at how much stuff they managed to fit into this store. It's not that big and, sadly, the checkout line is right in front of the entrance, leading to an interesting adventure getting into the store. But, in fairness, they have very good line control with a staff member directing customers "Whole Foods line"-style.
