I am very happy that I tried this place via grubhub, im always skeptical about trying new places from apps but this restaurant failed to disappointed,
I am totally a falafel junkie, so I wanted to see if their version of falafel tasted good. For six dollars you get at least 5 filling pieces of falafel with hummus and a salad, the falafel wasn't too dry and it was perfectly seasoned
the shepherd salad for 5 bucks with feta cheese was rather filling for a small size, for a dollar they give you a pile of extra feta, everything was fresh with a perfect combo of onions, salt , tomatoes cucumbers, next time im gonna stuff my face with the large size!
I also got extra hummus on the side since I like to put that on everything, they gave a large size for five dollars, it was fresh for the whole week! it wasn't too oily either which was a plus.
they also give fresh pita and spicy sauces on the side with no charge.
I am also happy with the fact that the order didn't take more then 30 minutes as indicated on the app, they also allow you to track your grub which is a plus.
I cant wait to try more dishes from this place!
Pre-Mermaid Parade mania, we stopped at this newish Turkish spot my neighborhood friend told me about. This store many moons ago was Ciro's. I still remember the flavor of Ciro's Pizza thin crust, not too tomatoey- oh I digress.
The food here is very fresh with the owner cutting nice tomatoes in the kitchen, and the meats marinating in a refrigerated counter in front. We both went with shish kebab(small) plate for $8.50. That would be lamb of course.
This came with rice, a small salad, Turkish bread naturally and white sauce without asking. It was delicious. All the food was so flavorful- with the great Turkish bread to dip & accompany it all. Good old neighborhood value for $8.50
