  1. SUCH an unexpected delicious hole in the wall in East Village! Amazing flavorful food that is not overwhelming. Some goodies:

    – Get lots of red sangria. lots of it.
    – Shrimp in garlic sauce — ask for extra bread to mop up the sauce. So garlicky!
    – Mussels in white wine sauce — these were hands down the best mussels I've ever had in my life. The mussels were so fresh and perfectly cooked, no rubbery overly chewy mussels here. I've never had such delicious mussels. Order this now. get extra bread for the sauce as well.
    –  Potato omelette – this one tasted kind of standard to me
    – Complimentary croquetas and then the fish croquetas: so crispy on the outside with a creamy salty inside. Good appetizer
    – cuttlefish with zoodles: cuttlefish were kind of way chewy but the zoodles were good with an interesting crunch
    – Dessert: fruit tart with meringue: amazing. must get.

    Can't wait to come back!

  2. Ducked in here to escape a sudden downpour of rain, and I was pleasantly surprised. The place is small… Some might say cramped others might say intimate. Decor is very well done , with interesting art on the walls and very tasteful table settings.

The food was excellent.  We ordered grilled octopus seasoned with smoked paprika, steak with chimichurri sauce, some gazpacho, and bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Truly delicious food.

It was however, quite expensive.  Small plate tapas portions are usually a bit small, but the steak was unexpectedly so, being just a single skewer of chunks and a pile of spiced potatoes to add bulk to the offering.  I would certainly go back, but only if I had deep pockets and planned on a broader selection.
