  1. We love this quaint little traditional Japanese restaurant on a nondescript block of Long Beach Rd. It can be a regular order off the menu place or as we like it an AYCE sushi or sashimi with run of the menu. Rather than filling out order forms which is the usual method, a sweet waitress takes care of all your needs and brings some of the best food in this particular "genre". On the hot side, the Szchuan Dumplings in peanut sauce is outstanding! we had 3 of them. The Rock shrimp was nicely prepared plus the kani salads and seaweed salads… and the sake kept coming. they prepare the rolls nicely and the sushi and sashami are great considering your paying under $24/pp !!! The fact that the decor is traditional Japanese with  tatami tables added to the experience. The wait staff are all genuinely nice women who do their damnest to give you a great experience!! This place is worth the occasional drive (30 mins) to enjoy their hospitality…and we will return.

  2. All you can eat sushi!

I've come here a few times to pig out on fresh sushi. They charge for extra sauce and extra lemons for your water, but the food is always good and the waitresses friendly and attentive. I always come here late and they never rush us out or to pay.

I love the seats in the floor (I have no clue what they're called!).

  3. I've been going to Ying for a few years now. At first, yes the six flags roll was something to rave about.
I recently visited and the roll was deep fried in thick batter so it was hard to chew got stuck to my teeth and the roof of my mouth. I couldn't stomach them all so I picked the meat out and left the shell.

Appetizers – the Rockies shrimp is good but basic. Fried shrimp with simulated spicy mayo. The Kani salad is just the crab meat, no salad, with mayo squirted on top. Okay.

I ordered ribs that were reheated and the inside was still cold. The spicy anything rolls aren't spicy at all and none of the rolls taste different from one another.

The waitresses! One is very nice; I normally see her. The other, I have no idea what she is saying and brought me the wrong things. I'm sure she means well but has no training. Maybe she's new.

I was only happy with the green tea ice cream until I got a spoon full of freezer burn.

Since there's two other all you can eat places on the same road 3 min drives from one another; save yourself and try another one.

  4. Not great sushi. The pollack crab tasted off. When we advised the manager, she explained that fish is supposed to taste like that. Basically she was doing the 'ol Jedi  mind trick on us. It didn't work. Other dishes were mediocre rolls but yummy dumplings.

  5. I had high hopes for this AYCE sushi restaurant because of the stellar reviews. I ordered a roll that had spicy lobster in it and tasted heavily of wasabi. I do not eat wasabi because I don't like the taste. When I asked the server if it contained wasabi, she said it didn't (but wasabi has a very distinct taste). Unfortunately, I left feeling a bit nauseous, not even finishing my second roll. The sushi wasn't fresh at all and they loaded both rolls with tempura flakes inside. Fortunately, my server was very sweet and came to check on me a lot. I won't be returning.

  6. This is a hidden gem of Long Island! ( I was almost reluctant to write this review so that it would stay this way! 🙂 but they deserve good praise!)

It's a small establishment – there is a little bit of a wait but for delicious all-you-can-eat sushi and asian food for only $ 17.99, can you really complain?? Everything was fresh, tasty. Excellent specialty rolls, and hot food options offered. Tempura wasn't overly greasy. The sushi pieces were fresh and delicious. Food also doesn't take too long to be prepared.

Also, the staff is by far one of the nicest and attentive staff I have ever had at any restaurant in a very long time!

I really hope to come back soon 🙂

Only reason why they do not get a 5 is because we had trouble finding parking.

  7. So this place thinks it's sneaky. Every roll to make it more filling they insert cheap tempura flakes into everything. They also have most of there rolls with a tempura item. Which they can fry cheap quality shrimp and make the roll look full or bigger but really had nothing in it.

I ordered the shrimp shu mai steamed it was barely warm on outside and still cold on inside.

I ordered a spicy tuna and like never before the roll had barely any tuna but it did have tempura flakes inside. And all the rolls are smaller then sty any other location.
The reason why I gave a two and not a one is that the service wasn't bad and we ordered an ice cream for our three year old and were ready to pay for it but they didn't charge is extra. So we tipped them good.

We will not be coming back here again.

  8. "All you can eat sushi" is all I had to hear to try this place. I had the Philadelphia roll, ninja roll, shrimp tempura roll, and some mango rolls. All rolls were pretty fresh and tasted good.I also had the vegetable fried rice which was decent but nothing to brag about.  For appetizers I had the vegetable dumplings which were disgusting. For dessert I had red bean and vanilla ice cream which was delicious. Food was pleasant for the most part. Now the service is where it goes downhill. Very slow service, and people that came after us got their food before us. I'm pretty sure our waitress forgot to put our order in, because she came to our table and made that (oops I forgot face). She then went to the kitchen. Later came back with one roll and apologized for the wait. We later got our rolls in a timely manner. We only had one piece of napkin at our table, I had to get up and get more for my table. Our waitress was always in a rush so it seemed. The service was ridiculously terrible and it was a slow Wednesday evening. I doubt I will ever come back here, such a shame because it truly has potential. I will not be recommending this place to anyone.
