Except for it being overpriced….the frozen yogurt is fantastic! They have a lot of different flavors (I tried caramel and coconut macaron). And they have a ton of different toppings (I loved the tiny caramel turtles). Definitely a treat!
Also…it kind of irks me to see a tip jar at the counter, when it's a SERVE YOURSELF place. You even put your own toppings on. The only thing the guy at the register does is weigh and take yo $$. Needless to say, the jar was empty. But that's just my 2 cents.
I'm always in the mood for frozen yogurt, especially on a hot day! We popped in here for a cool treat, and were pleased with the flavor selection and topping choices. The fresh fruit (particularly the mango) was the perfect topping to a delightful bowl of fro-yo.
The big takeaway is their 12 flavors of froyo to choose from. Self-serve froyo is nothing new in this hyper-competitive market of traditional old-school ice cream, seasonal Italian ices, and the resurgence of premium ice cream.
They don't do anything different and while that may pass in an area that has few options, this isn't the case in Bay Ridge. Good amount of seating, but be aware of that narrow corridor leading to their Froyo dispensers in the back-could be problematic when this place gets packed and busy during the summer months. There's no flow or discernible way to line up to get your Froyo. Some customers are just all over the place. What's up with that?
At $.49/oz, much like their competition, is priced nearly the same however i find their eurotart (a thicker version of classic) to have better consistency. It's not as watery as nearby Swirl Fun's (see my review on that) classic froyo. The mochi is colorful here… Never thought I'd see that but that's the only thing unique here besides their loyalty card program which was better. It was Buy 4 get 1 free card but seems to be no longer existent. Finally the toppings… fruit are hit or miss as with the other froyo spots, they're not always fresh.

When they're not busy behind the counter, they do assist with samples, however I can't see that happening during the busy times. How about offering sample cups upon request? Of the three froyo places in the area, I'd make this my first option for the reasons cited above – 12 flavors.

I was walking around Bay Ridge awaiting Miss Sarit's arrival and saw this froyo spot. It looks nice on the outside, typical froyo modernized look with lots of glass and open-airy environment.
I was greeted warmly by the young man behind the counter, who quickly got swamped with customers and could not help me with samples. I was a bit miffed that he did not offer to just give me 1-2 sample cups, but maybe that is their policy? -1 star.
After waiting 4-5 minutes another older gentleman came in and I quickly grabbed him before others could. He enthusiastically showed me to the dispensing area and I sampled Banana Foster (OMG) and a couple others. I settled on the Banana Foster and Original Tart topped with many yummies. The Banana Tart is a mix of banana and caramel and is simply divine.
Their toppings bar is fresh and clean, and has many options from which to peruse. Overall I would certainly come here again and the price isn't bad at about .50$/ounce.
Only docked a star because when we went in two of the machines weren't ready so out of 15 or 16 flavors only 10 were usable.
I got eurotart, dulce de leche, and alpine vanilla- dulce de leche had a great sweet flavor and the eurotart was perfectly tangy. The vanilla was good too, not overly sweet. The toppings were clean with a decent assortment.
The lady working the register was high energy and friendly.
I'll be back for sure.
Best taro ice cream in NYC. I've been to Red Mango (too soft) and other mom and pop shops, but Yosweets has the taro ice cream down! And they always have a selection of toppings, including mochi, my favorite. The price is very reasonable, and the frozen yogurt is the perfect consistency. I brought mine home on a hot evening, and it was still enjoyable, not a watered down mess. I've eaten in before as well, and there are enough tables and seating to enjoy. They keep everything clean and stocked.
