Was here on a Friday and enjoyed myself. I think the place doesn't know what exactly it is- or maybe it was me!
There was the restaurant section and the bar section. And then there was what looked like a dance floor, like it was a club? And there was also a party section right in the bar where they were having a 40th bday party… With kids… At like 11pm. That was odd.
The music wasn't too loud though, a good drink menu. My beer cost $6 one time and $8 another though. And I missed happy hour so that could not have been it. Oh well. Bartenders seemed very nice and even in a busy bar I was served within a minute or 2, so not bad!
Have been here twice. First time was a few months ago and I had a groupon. Service was good and food from what we remembered was good. Believe we had a chicken sandwich and ribs platter.
Decided to come back the other night, but during Long Island's heatwave. Switched from a table to booth. There was a little delay from the Host but eventually we were moved. The waiter, who had lots of patience, was friendly and straight up. Said what was good, not good, and what draft beers were warm/not comfortable servicing, etc due to the heat. We appreciate the heads up, but also did not look good on the companies part. We were going to order frozen drinks but they had no mix that we liked. Eventually, went with wines and mixed cocktails. Restaurant was very warm that when we ate our meals we were very uncomfortable. Not sure what was going on. Anyways, food was delicious.. Steak sandwich was tender and juicy – make sure to add cheese.. Pulled pork sandwich was flavorful and moist. Fries and sweet potato fries were actually well done like we asked (yay!)
After getting our biweekly Sunday afternoon pedicures, my girlfriend said she wanted to do boozy brunch. How convenient that I had a Groupon for Your Mother's House! It's basically an oversized sports bar in a neighborhood gravely lacking in decent watering holes. On Saturdays and Sundays, they offer brunch with unlimited cocktails for an hour and a half.
Their bloody marys are quite thick and spicy, but the white sangria isn't anything to write home about. The warm bread basket was a nice surprise – it contained the moistest banana bread I've ever had, some mini muffins, and tasty scones! And while my pulled pork hash totally hit the spot, her 222 dish was a pretty generic and lackluster breakfast combo.
Honestly, there are much better brunch options nearby – namely, Tavern 18,
This is a great place for a game or a gathering with a group of friends. I love the huge space and separations between the young/sports fans and the family parts of the restaurant. The bar area can also accommodate 20 people easily, for those who don't need a table.
The service has always been fast and friendly when we're here but the food varies depending on the day. We've had instances where the bbq platter was amazing with succulent ribs an fantastic chicken, but we've also had times where the ribs are dry and tasteless while drowned in bbq sauce. For the most part, Your Mother's is usually a good place to grab some food and beers with friends while watching a game. In this area, there aren't any sports bar/restaurants that are anywhere near as nice and as accommodating.
An upscale version of an Applebees/Fridays/Millers – you get your sports bar vibe and towards the back you see classy leather booths and tables that are more than just your regular wooden booth.
The drink menu is great but the food menu has many awesome options to choose from. Perfect for families and also adults looking for a fun night out. Staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean. No wait on a Saturday night at 7 PM. Seems like the place to be if you ask me!
I got the Captain Nemo and my boyfriend got the Mother-In-Law Punch, both delicious!
We split two appetizers – Bavarian pretzel with cheese dip and onion rings with ranch dip. The onion rings were really tasty, the pretzel was generic.
I got the sirloin steak [which comes with two sides] – mac and cheese (obviously) and sweet potato fries. The steak was juicy and really freakin good, I'm not normally a steak person but I did it for the sides 😛 The mac and cheese was boring, just plain macaroni and a cheese sauce on top. Tasted good but compared to the other food presented to us, this was not the highlight. The sweet potato fries were phenomenal, a very light cinnamon sugar was sprinkled on them instead of salt and I loved it.
Bryan got the cheeseburger and added bacon. He also changed the regular fries to tex-mex fries. They were just fries instead of nachos, but a bit soggy because of the ground beef on them. Still yummy regardless.
I came here a lot on Monday's to take advantage of the half off drinks. But now they have removed that promotion after such a long time of keeping it on. Prior to that, they had half off appetizers after 10pm, but took that away as well. Now I'm not sure if the rent at this location is high to remove those perks that they initially promoted for. But now, that you removed it, there's not much incentive to go here as often. It was a great location for numerous people to go there for after hours on week-days. The issue is there's so many other spots that run great deals on a Monday all through Jericho Turnpike. Wish you guys had those deals back. Overall though, food-wise it's alright I would recommend that huge Sixth-Man burger highly recommend it! Might be healthier Big Mac if that makes any sense at all. Lastly, they do have great desserts that they offer on the menu, check that out as well!
The place is very nice, has a lot of TV's if you are going for a game, the salad and apps are great and large enough to share. Service was good and they didn't rush us out. We sat there watching the game for about an hour after we were finished eating.
Came here with a group of friends for the Warriors VS. OKC game cause it was nearby.
They've got a large parking lot and a huge space! We were greeted and seated upon arrival so that's a plus. Our waitress was also very friendly and they checked up on us from time to time.
This place has so much potential to be great and I would give higher stars solely on service and convenience, but I can't overlook the subpar food and the places lack of identity.
Right off the bat, the place screams Restaurant. But we walked a little further back and it's a sports bar? Like Hooters? Nice. Then we walked even further back we see a DJ blasting music and a lone billiards table in the corner. I mean where the hell are we?!
I get the whole "all-in-one" concept, but quality trumps quantity my friends. I mean the menu's got some fairly high priced food that isn't even good.
The burger and fries I ordered came out to $18/$20 bucks + tip. Something I could've whipped up at home. The bun was nice and fluffy but that's about it. The meat was bland and mediocre, the "disco" fries that costed an extra $1.99, lacked excitement. If I knew the disco fries were so sad, I would've opted for the regular fries that came with the burger, or an extra pickle.
There are tons of TVs playing the games, but you can't hear a thing cause they've got a DJ spinning music no one's even really paying attention to. Not fair to the DJ and not fair to the people trying to eat their food or watch the games.
Like I said, staff was friendly and efficient, but I don't think I'll be back.
