  1. The atmosphere and decor are nice. Food is good based on what I had and sampled with my dining companion. They make a Nice capirihna which went well with their fire wok. Their appetizers are pretty Standard Fare, however their pineapple fried rice was tasty and not at all greasy. Had a bit of the Sambal combo and that seemed alright but I prefer the fire wok anyday.

Their service was pretty rushed with the waitress hovering as we repeatedly asked for more time. She clearly didnt get the hint to give us space. Either way she was pretty Annoying about being present until it was clear we were not going to order anything else.

We had to flag her down to get the check and then wait for processing. Our experience would most likely have been much improved with a different staff member. Either way the food and atmosphere are worth going for, just hope for good service or let the host know if you'd like some privacy before being seated.

  2. I came here on a Saturday night and this place was packed! We had to wait a few minutes for a table but we got drinks and it was worth it. The frozen strawberry daiquiri was very good.

Once we were seated, they took our order fairly quickly and we waited for a chef to become available. This took about 20 minutes, and they forgot to bring over the soup and salad in the meantime. The chef reminded the waiter to bring over the soup and salad and all was well.

The hibatchi was awesome. Show was typical but food quality and portions were outstanding. Steak and chicken were cooked perfectly and very flavorful. The hibatchi meals come with rice and noodles. Rice AND noodles? You mean I don't need to choose? #FattyWin

Also, they squirt saki into your mouths, if you are willing. I was the only daring one at my table.

  3. As you walk in its very spacious and I love how the bar looks. Its gorgeous and a full bar. I did not expect for the restaurant to be so spacious from the outside. What I didn't like is that when we walked in no one was willing to help seat us. We had to go up to the cashier or someone at the bar and ask them if we can be seated. They were not busy we were the only ones there at the time. So they finally sat us down. Here you have the option to sit down at a regular table and have the food brought out to you OR you can sit around the stove and they can cook in front of you. Its neat that they have that option!

The pricing was good I paid about 25 dollars for hibachi filet mignon and shrimp. It came with soup, salad, fried rice (2.75 dollars extra), noodles and vegetables. The soup is so tasty it has mushrooms and scallions in it. It sounds plain but its tasty. The ginger salad dressing was delicious and tangy. My favorite part was the noodles. The noodles were so good along with the fried rice! I ate more of the fried rice and noodles rather than the steak and shrimp!

The steak was cooked the way I like it (medium well), cooked but still juicy a bit! The shrimp was ok I didn't like that he drenched the shrimp in sauce. Thats just a personal preference I don't like any food of mine drenched in sauce. The shrimp wasn't my favorite. But the rest of the food was tasty. Fried rice was a 10/10 I must say!

If you have ever been to Edos in pelham its a similar style. When the chefs cook they make it entertaining which is nice especially for kids because they would love it!

Other than not seating us right away, the server and the chef were fantastic 10/10! Very friendly and was always available.

There is a parking lot right in front so parking is not an issue. From the outside it was hard to find and you think its a small place but its in fact beautiful inside!

  4. Really pissed off right now. The last time I ordered from Yumi and requested extra ginger dressing (which is unlimited at the restaurant) they called to tell me I'd be charged for it. I ordered today and the delivery guy told me my $2 tip wasn't good. WTH?!?!

  5. Been passing this place for years wanting to try it out and today I decided to come in during their lunch. Upon entering I noticed just how nice the place was. Being that its in a plaza with a bunch of other store connected I didn't think it would look this nice on the inside. Its also a pretty big restaurant, another thing you cant tell from the outside. I took a seat at the bar and ordered from their lunch special which came with rice, noodles, salad, and hibachi chicken. All for under $20! When comparing this place to Benihana I would prefer Benihana. The food was only ok, I wouldn't go out of my way to come here. The service was excellent everyone was really nice and helpful and my food came pretty fast.

  6. Atmosphere nice. Small location with nice wine and sake list. Duck was excellent.  Very quite dinner for two. Music selections was enjoyable.

  7. I ordered delivery on a Wednesday night through grubhub and the delivery guy came earlier than the expected time! Definitely was surprised I could get this type of food in the Bronx!

We ordered a hibachi steak minor (kid's) which came with vegetables, noodles, shrimp appetizer (we declined the shrimp since bf is allergic to seafood) and house salad. Also came with white rice but they forgot to include it. I called the restaurant and they were nice and said they could give me a free appetizer next time. It wasn't a big deal since it was just rice. The portion of the meal was big even though it was a kid's size! – $11.95

I also ordered the thai curry soup which was amazing and spicy! It's literally like having curry but as soup – $3.50

Pad thai with chicken was okay though. Not really authentic but not bad and the portion was huge- $9.95

Chicken nugget appetizer (japanese style deep fried marinated chicken) was delicious and crispy! Nice size for $5.95!

  8. I've been here several times now and always leave happy. It's always fun coming in and sitting at a table and having the chef put on a exciting show for you.

I always order the same thing (chicken hibachi) so
I can't really vouch for the other items. Although, I have tried the calamari and the spring rolls, both of which are quite good.

For what it's priced at on the chicken hibachi, you're definitely getting your money's worth for both the food and entertainment. They lack so much food on one plate, never once have I gone
    Home without leftovers.

It's a fun place and I enjoy it and is reasonably priced depending on what you get and I can recommend it for first time hibachi.
